She's teaching me how to invert properly and how to improve my flexibility, but most important she's teaching me to trust myself and that hard work always pays off.
Thanks Irene for being the inspiring teacher and amazing human being you are ❤️🙏🏻 ------------------------------------

☯️The Yin ⚫️ and Yang ⚪️ principles simply represent the natural dualities in our world. Black & white, hot & cold, dark & light, hate & love, life & death. The two can’t live without each other. The same applies in our practice to find balance between strength and quiet relaxation in our bodies. This Halloween 🎃 we will bring you #YinToYangYoga starting Oct 22-29. Each day we will provide 2 different poses for you to choose from. Whether you are more drawn to Yin 🔙or more to 🔜Yang or maybe to both 🔛YinYang. Your choice! ☯️

Saving kind and loving things to yourself is just as much a practice as anything else. You have just strengthened the negative pathway. Let’s strengthen the positive.

Monday Mobility: I'm going to post every week on this day great mobility exercises that will benefit your everyday aches and pains. if your job consists of long hours sitting in an office chair, or you have been suffering from a severe backache, well this is the workout for you. 'The Jefferson Curl' is a great Gymnastics move.
This exercise is one of the best mobility and prehab exercises I know. Some benefits include: – Lengthening of the hamstrings and the spinal muscles – Strengthening of the connective tissue between the vertebrae – Increased control of spinal mobility – Improved back health under load
In the event coaches and athletes choose to go forward with training the Jefferson Curl, caution is advised. Additionally, the following guidelines should be taken into consideration: - start with body weight and work up in very small increments, if at all.
The goal of this exercise is not maximal strength, the rather controlled range of motion and finite position strength, tissue adaptation, and controlled mobility. If chosen, be cautious when proceeding with loaded movement in spinal flexion. -Stopp if there is a pain, If there is pain or discomfort in any aspect of this movement (either loaded or bodyweight), stop. This could be a warning sign that could result in serious and/or nagging injury
Here is a video outlining the right way to do the exercise. If you enjoyed the video and want plenty more in the near time future don't forget to follow my page, Pieceeeee! 💢👊

"In the Māori legend of creation, Papatūānuku, along with Ranginui, the sky, was born in the darkness known as Te Pō. Papatūānuku and Ranginui had several children while remaining in an embrace. The children grew frustrated with living in darkness between their parents, and conspired to separate them by thrusting Ranginui above and Papatūānuku below. Thus the world of light, Te Ao Mārama, came into being.....
Papatūānuku is a powerful figure, as she represents the generative foundation of all life. All things are born from her and nurtured by her, including humankind.
Traditional Māori culture aligns women with the land, because the land gives birth to humankind just as women do. As the world was born from Papatūānuku, so humankind is born from women. A woman’s womb, called te whare tangata (the house of humanity), is seen as the same as the womb of the earth." Repost @nasiebella •
The final day 😭 of #kiwimadeyogis is a resting pose. For me, I find #recliningheropose incredibly relaxing, especially when outside 🍁🍂🍁🍂
Thank you so much to the hosts and sponsors. I've really enjoyed learning more about New Zealand's Maori legends 🙏💙🖤💜
Fabulous Hosts :
Stress is not only harmful to your productivity, it can also trigger pain in your body. If you suffer any kind of chronic pain, like back pain, stress can make it worse.
Avoid stress by practicing breathing exercises, slowly inhaling and exhaling, focusing on being mindful. 🙏🏻
