what a beautiful thing it is to be able to take things for granted. People cry to me that they take their mothers for granted and they feel bad, I tell them that having a mother and being ignorant of any other way was the best thing about. It is the thing I heart-wrenchingly miss the most. The blissful innocent ignorance, that's what I yearn to feel and can never have back again. That's the feeling i want for my children, that of course mother will always be here. I will miss it every day for the rest of my life, i know some of you feel that. I feel close with complete strangers in an instant if i see that they do, like we carry the same painful secret.
We’ll call this pose floating camel 🦋🐪 if you guys have been watching my stories, you know I’m super into probiotics rn, what’s your favorite way to get them in? I’m experimenting with a ginger bug right now to make homemade ginger ale!
Although it may seem simple to some people, for me touching my toes was not an easy feat (pun intended, haha). But in all seriousness: I grew up being called fat on the daily by classmates and my own father. Due to this, I lacked the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and try to work out and improve myself. Since I’ve gotten to college though, that previous mindset has been wiped and I feel new. I’ve been working out for almost two months now, mostly doing yoga (which I’ve been doing on and off for around 2-3 years), but I’ve gone to the actual gym too!! I was really scared and nervous at first, but @patthefit made me feel comfortable and guided me through every gym day. It hasn’t been very long, so the changes aren’t huge, but I can see them. I can tell I’ve made progress, and that’s what matters the most.
Being able to bend is definitely the biggest accomplishment for me, but the following progress pictures are important too. I never would have posted pictures of myself wearing so little before, but I feel that sharing my improvements will make me feel even better about them.
Since I’ve started, my tummy + waist have gotten slimmer, my arms + back have gotten more toned, my chest has gotten bigger, and my bum has gotten perkier and more round. These changes are so so slight but I can notice them in how my clothes fit and how I feel each day.
It was a rough start, and every day that I work out I face a new challenge, but it’s so rewarding to just fall into bed at the end of the day and sleep well.
This page is to help me track the progress I make, and to show people that ANYONE is capable of starting to work out and get fit. Everyone starts somewhere.
A huge thank you to those who have inspired me so much and have gotten me up and moving @patthefit @miapia123a @the_southern_yogi @gypsyon__ @kenziefitness_
Been trying to get this transition down for awhile now
This was my first attempt of the day and I tried it 5 more times because I didn't think this was good enough and this ended up being the best attempt 😂
(I need to get over myself sometimes I swear)
Trying to stop making excuses of why not to practice while traveling and also being extra careful not to knock anything over in Granny's house with my noodle legs 👍

Baby, it’s cold outside! We had a mix of freezing rain and sleet in Austin, TX this week, so school was cancelled one day and we had a delayed start another day.
And let’s be honest, it’s not a lot of fun when it’s that cold to go outside when there is no snow on the ground to play with. We made the most of it inside, which included a few hot cocoa breaks to warm us
up. They boys love their cute kid-sized mugs. (OK, that might be because of what is usually inside, but they still LOVE their mugs.) My favorite moments were snuggling while reading books. I know there will come a time when it’s not so cool to hang out with mommy and give extra snuggly snuggles.
I managed to get a few things done. Still trying to get into the swing of things in 2018, but I’m taking it all in stride. I’m easing back into the year with a bit more self-care and giving myself grace for not hitting the ground running. I focus on the idea that I have another 11.5 months to achieve my goals.
If you recently had a snow day from school (even one without snow), how did you spend it? Did you get
work done with the kids at home? How do you get work done when your littles are at home unexpectedly one day (I’m always looking for more ideas)?
Tomorrow is Day 5 of #MagicalWinterMermaids and we're straightening out that leg for #compasspose .

Today I dropped my keys between the seats in my car and I was really grateful for strange mobility to look for them and retrieve them. Maybe you’re not into what you think yoga is, but maybe you too lose things and could use any advantage you can to win at hide and seek. .
