For today’s modification I chose this Asymmetrical #ForearmBalance but feel free to continue to practice Handstand or a regular Forearm Stand. If, when you extend the legs, they throw you off, keep them bent in a diamond shape, reaching straight up or, even better, tape yourself and watch what you’re doing right before the legs go wide…. are you lowering them past a horizontal line or dropping the hips? chances are that’s a yes, so they pull you down. Raise them some and don’t open that much, concentrate on balancing first, then we’ll perfect that. I like this uneven #inversion because it highlights the importance of those ‘lateral’ muscles and shows what great stabilizers they are (in Handstand, especially in the beginning, it’s hard to realize their role). Keep squeezing the elbow in towards the side ribs and push away from the ground. The ‘longer’ you feel and project all the way out through the legs, the less compression on the shoulder/wrist joints. Gaze steady at all moments and, regardless of results, think that, in each attempt, there’s a lesson hidden to be learned, ESPECIALLY if you didn’t nail it. Positive mind and let’s go upside down!!! I remember when i started lifting i thought you had to eat "clean" and healthy everyday to see results until the weekend came where you could have a cheat meal. I believed that because i was told to. When my cheat meal arrived every week, at the end i found my self binging and eating like crazy which only led me moving backwards. I had restricted myself from all my favorite foods because i thought it was the right way, the only way. I started categorizing foods into bad ones and good ones. I was eating only plain meats and vegetables every single day.📆 Thankfully, last year i heard about flexible dieting and i was amazed. Could it be true? Enjoying my favorite foods which i had categorized as "junk" or "bad" and still make progress? Firstly, I thought it was a joke. But then, i got hesitated to actually try it. After doing my research and learning the concepts of it, i gave it a try. Since then i never looked back. Having a great flexibility in my nutrition which has made it way more sustainable, pleasure and i really enjoy it. Im eating on moderate portions of my favorite foods on a daily basis. 🥗80% of my nutrition comes from whole foods which are "less processed" and more micronutrient dense and friendly choices.
🍪20% of the remaining macronutrients i have, i enjoy whatever i like to. Whatever!
While ofcourse still making amazing progress in the gym with a more joyful journey enjoy every aspect of my life!! 📈

Went to the gym for a shoulder workout this morning, started doing handstands to finish off and realized I was crazy to not be outside soaking up the sun. 🌞
Decided to have a little fun working on my press and one arm handstands. Need to work on some more negatives to get my shoulders on the same page as my core during my press. I'm not very graceful lifting off the ground or coming down. 😂🤷🏻♀️
