Last night I bent and clamped the frame of the net together without the handle. Today I used the cnc router to cut the handle out in the exact shape it needs to be and using the cut offs of the handle as clamping blocks. I glued it together with polyurethane glue so it will be done in about 4 hours. Now it's time to start the next one. I'm making four in this set. #robbyoungsfinewoodworking
Saturday project: cut out new mold for fly fishing nets. Made this one a little different than the last one. The changes should make it easier to glue up and will fix the mistake I made on the first try. Love this CNC router. #robbyoungsfinewoodworking
If you have ever been to our shop here in Washington or more likely in Hawaii you have seen this, my dad helping and showing me how to woodwork. My dad is the most patient and loving man to walk this earth and along with my sister I am lucky to call him dad. His love for teaching and guiding aspiring woodworker is one of his greatest gifts and being his son I have learned from the best. His love of guiding and teaching goes beyond woodworking. All of my friends can attest to his love of sharing his knowledge (unless you play Trivial Pursuit with him because you will get pissed off at his knowledge) and being that father figure and blessing them with his generosity and time. He is the Best guy I know. I love you dad, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY. @robbyoungsfinewoodworking
