BLACK BEAN SOUP
1lb black beans (soaked overnight and rinsed)
6 cups chicken stock
3 bell peppers (green,red,yellow) chopped
6 cloves garlic chopped
1 medium onion chopped
2 scallions chopped
1 bay leaf
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp chili powder
Salt & pepper (to taste)
Cilantro & parsley
Sour cream, avocado, lime, tortilla chips, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, cilantro. -In medium pot, add beans,stock,peppers,onion,garlic,scallions,bay leaf
-bring to boil,reduce to simmer and cover
-simmer approx 1.5hrs stiring occasionally -add cumin,chili powder,salt and pepper
-simmer another 45-55 mins or until desired consistency
-add cilantro and parsley
Ladle into bowl and add favorite toppings or cool and refrigerate for later
One of the hardest leg days I’ve had in a really long time thanks to @jonnyelgato pushing me. Here’s the workout:
BB Glute Thrusters 4x6-10 (get heavy)
BB Squat: 4x6-10
Leg curls: 3x10
Small Box Split Squats 3x10
Get it a go, push some heavy weight.
I am extremely quad dominant and it has to led to tightness and knee pain. Slowly I’ve progressed in flexibility and mobility and today was the first time in awhile I was able to go heavy and have no pain. 275 x 5 here, I hit one more off video Jonny tossed my phone cuz I needed a spot haha. So by slightly taking a wider stance, I take a bit of the pressure off my quads and send it to my glutes and hamstrings which took the pressure off my knees and allowed me to push some weight!
I've been asked 4730574x to create workouts to do at home. So, here is a lower body circuit that can be done ANYWHERE! 🎉🙌🏼
4 rounds of following circuit:
30 high knees
10 reverse lunges (each leg)
30 speed skaters
10 glute bridges
30 plank jacks
10 Bulgarian squats (each leg)
30 karate kicks

Gluten free FAIL! I tried to make gluten free banana bread! I followed the recipe to a T and it turned out very goopy and more like pudding than bread! It's ok to have failure! Now I know to use a different recipe next time!
