It was a big day for #josieduck ! She had her first food from a restaurant since her multiple #foodallergy diagnoses. It was semi-terrifying, but they were very careful with her plain corn and she had no reactions. In the end, she didn't like it all that much. Of course! 😂 #foodallergies
Looking for a healthy low reactive nut, look no further than pecans. With less than 5% of the US population having a food sensitivity to pecan it is a pretty low-level reactive food. However, if you find you are having some type of inflammatory reaction and believe it might be the pecans you are consuming, we recommend sending us a message. You can let us know what chronic health symptoms you have been experiencing. We will connect you with one of our Food Sensitivity Experts to assist you in finding out if pecans or any other common foods, may be triggering your symptoms.⠀
I got to make a birthday cake for one of my very favorite people in the whole world to celebrate her sweet 16. I couldn't be there but I sent @zatoichi77 to represent. Happy Birthday, @babe_harley! I cried a li'l bit myself watching this video. Your reaction made it even more worthwhile! Xoxo 😘 You're really going places and now that you can drive, I hope one of those places is here to see me!
I’m loving the warmer weather, even though it’s still only 40 😂 Missing the sunshine we had yesterday, but it feels nice to want to be outside again! Once the holidays are over, I’m ready for spring/summer. Pro-tip: don’t try taking your canoe down an icy river 🙈
Shout-out Sunday! This is a little bit of a throw back but we had to share anyways!
We love when we all can get together and have the chance to go explore.
This day we explored Topeka’s children’s museum and went to the amazing #theburgerstandtopeka they went above and beyond for our multiple food allergy and intolerance family.
The food was AWESOME! We will definitely make a trip back!
Easy breakfast this morning with @greenvalleyorganics lactose free yogurt, @emeraldcitycoffee vegan and gluten free granola bar and @tazo green ginger tea 😊
I went to church this morning and now am finishing up laundry before I head out to run some errands. Happy Sunday!
Calling all those who have DAIRY and YEAST SENSITIVITIES! (not gluten, but yeast)
Thursday I got results back from a food sensitivity test and other blood work and I realized my body is sensitive to dairy/eggs, yeast (both brewers and bakers) along with a few others, such as ginger, mushrooms, malt, and pineapple. Mainly bummed about the eggs and yeast; i was already pretty certain about the dairy after quite a few incidents that were easy to pin-point.
I have a list of foods to avoid, as well as a grocery list, but this is all new to me! HELP! Creating a meal plan and grocery lists for this week!
What are some foods you wouldn’t typically think of that have yeast, dairy, eggs in them? Really trying to eliminate these due to the vicious cycle its creating in my body with inflammation>adrenal fatigue>throwing off my blood sugar levels and hormones>throwing my body in a stress mode due to constantly overworking itself.
PS—I’ve never been so intrigued at a doctor’s visit! Who knew food allergies affected so much with your body as a whole?!
✨Functional Nutrition is the Science with the principle of biochemical individuality, that is every individual is unique and what is good for one organism may not be good for the other.
Based on this principle, functional nutrition evaluates sign and symptoms through a metabolic questionnaire, family history, functional testing, genetic testing, reaction to foods ( allergies/intolerances), and therefore adjust these imbalances which are the trigger for chronic diseases, metabolic disorders and weight gain! #FunctionalNutrition#IntegrativeHeath#GutExpert
#NutricaoFuncional#nutricaoclinica

It's been an interesting week so far. Maverick went to the allergist after discovering his egg allergy the week before. He has a wheat, egg, peanut, and tree nut allergy and since he's too young for an Epi, we have to avoid and hope for the best.
Now I could be really upset and grieve a little over all the things he wouldn't be able to do and enjoy the same things as his sisters, but what good does that do?
Instead I'm learning to cook for his needs, which I hope to share with him as he gets older. And maybe he won't eat the same things as most kids his age when he goes to school, but healthy eating habits will be ingrained in him from the start and that's a win to me.

EEEEKKK.... I’m SOO excited. It’s taken me a long time but I finally found a 👉🏻 VEGAN PANCAKE 🥞 recipe that has a lot of AMAZING ingredients and my sweet allergy boy can eat 🙌🏻
Greyson was SOOO happy to finally have pancakes with the whole family 🙂 And honestly they taste just like “real deal”
Here’s my recipe:
* 2 tablespoon ground flaxseed * 6 tablespoons warm water
* 1 cup Quiona * 1 cup quick cooking oats
* 2 tablespoon agave nectar
* 2 teaspoons baking powder
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
* Scant 1.5 C almond or ripple milk
* 2 teaspoon vanilla * 2 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
1. Mix flaxseed and warm water to make flax egg. Set aside until gooey.
2. In small bowl add milk and lemon juice. Stir and set aside until curdled.
3. In a blender or food processor add oats and Quiona. Blend quickly until forms a flour.
4. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
5. Heat a lightly oiled skillet or griddle over medium heat. Spoon pancake batter on, about 1/4 cup per pancake. Cook until bubbles form and burst on the surface. Flip with a spatula and cook about 3 more minutes. Serve with nut butter and applesauce.
“Dairy free, egg free, nut free and seed free” are not words you want to hear when planning the best meal of the week (that’s brunch obviously). BUT these banana pancakes put brunch back on the menu for us this weekend. 😋😋😋
Made with oat milk bananas and xantham gum instead of the usual allergenic suspects. Recipe is a WIP but initial reports from the grubby garnet are looking v positive. 👍🏻
Serve with raspberry & blueberry compote, mango, berries and coconut yoghurt.
