I'm taking the vegan plunge!
Not because of my love of animals, I actually have little affinity for our furry friends, sans my English Bulldog who is a genetic mutation of dogs, but a cute one.
Nope. I read up on vegan diets via @nutrition_facts_org and, being A. A personal trainer B. A body builder and C. The daughter of a man who died of pancreatic cancer at 52, I am taking the vegan route along with IIFYM.

Today is a chick pea salad on a bed of greens, afternoon snack will be tempeh on greens, and vegan sweet potato and kale burritos for dinner!
Fluffy Vegan Pancakes 🥞These tasted almost like a brownie, the texture was so soft! Then of course topped with peanut butter 💁🏼
1/3 cup flour
1 scoop @pescience chocolate bliss
1 tbs cocoa powder
Almond milk (batter needs to be thick, for the pancake to cook)
Life Update: Not to sure what my goals are right now, I am currently eating at maintenance, some days below, some days above. Currently enjoying where my body is, definitely loving my #Sweaty &Strong program!! Which will be releasing soon...more details to come.
Currently going with the flow, enjoying alcohol...a little too much, but hey! My body, my life, my choice. I am sitting around 143-144 lbs, consuming 1,800 calories, 270g carb, 90g protein and 40g fat!
Been consuming planet based for approximately 3 months now and loving it! This was strictly because of gut health issues and how meat was upsetting my stomach, making me feel bloated, etc. Now that I have done my research, there are some serious environmental issues that most people wouldn't be aware of unless they take the time and educate them selves. BUT HEY, I am not a preacher and you do you! 👍🏼 Do I miss meat? yeah sometime but only BBQ chicken. Do I miss eggs and dairy? Not one bit and that is saying a lot for someone who bakes!

You can tell an avocado is ripe when they feel heavy for their size and are dark in color.
If you want to quicken the ripening process, just put one in a brown paper bag for 2-4 days. You can speed up the process even more by adding a banana to the bag.
💡Did you know? Black rice has more protein, fiber and antioxidants than any other rice variety. It also has more fiber than white or brown rice altough red rice takes the crown. Oh and also it takes delicious af. Perfect for bowls such as this one, with plenty of veggies, guacamole and sour cream 😍
I was going to wait to post this, but I feel like I need to post it now, especially after a recent story shown on Snapchat for all to see. I'm posting this to encourage everyone to watch the movie What The Health @wthfilm on Netflix, Amazon Prime, or wherever you can find it, just watch it. The creator of What The Health has put together probably the most important film of our time. The movie teaches you the immediate need to eliminate (or at least drastically reduce) our consumption of meat in order to save our planet, including figures from legitimate scientific studies performed. It also teaches you how easy it is to eliminate meat. Another great resource for help on eliminating meat, and the numerous associated health benefits of doing so, is the film @forksoverknives. I wouldn't post such images if I did not feel strongly towards them. Get your facts straight, cause the media quite frankly will not do it for us.
