Sometimes it's really hard to get outside for evening chores (kids, wine, Netflix, dishes), but once I'm out there covered in goats, watching the sun go down and the first stars come out, it always feels a little magical. Plus, fresh milk. Reading #thethirdplate - which EVERYONE who loves food should read- and rewatching #foodinc is also pretty good incentive (as long as you are ok with alternately crying and vomiting a little in your mouth). #realfood#rawmilk#knowyourfood#backyarddairy#eatallthegoodstuff
Ontem o primeiro documentario que vi foi esse. Alimentos S.A.

"You have to understand that we farmers... we're gonna deliver to the marketplace what the marketplace demands. If you wanna buy $2 milk, you're going to get a factory farm in your backyard. It's that simple. People have got to start *demanding* good, wholesome food of us, and we'll deliver.." - Troy Roush, Vice President, American Corn Growers Association #farming#foodinc#healtheland#wendellberry#permaculture
Hey guys, I made this new page, zero_waste_artist, as a way for me to talk about, and share with others various topics I've deemed staples for the health and wellbeing of us all. I hope to cover a ton of things: feminine health, veganism, health and wellness, contraceptives, fitness, workout routines, zero waste living and transitioning, and so many others. I hope over time this page grows and increasing amounts of people get to know and practice a healthy and conscious way of living. If you have ideas on what you'd like to see and learn about feel free to dm me on any social media, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org . My other page, @thebroke_artist is still active and I will still post there, but it will be more personal, as this page will be concerned with the issues I mentioned above. I can't wait to share this journey with you guys. I will be making new accounts on all social media for this page so be sure to check them all out the handle for all of them will be @zero_waste_artist
Wheat pasta, alfredo sauce & veggies 🌱 I'm attempting a vegetarian lifestyle since I've recently watched some documentaries that made me feel sick to my stomach about eating meat. Everyone's eating lifestyle is different & I respect it. I added chicken to my husband's pasta since he still wanted to eat it. 🙃
PLEASE READ: ❤️ I've been doing #bbg now for 19 weeks! Yep!! This new week will be week 20!! While seeing a LOT of change happen to my figure, something was missing. I wasn't able to lost weight, and I only seemed to gain because of muscle gains. I tried everything to lose weight guys. I wanted to lose fat! Not because I was fat, but because I have a lot of extra fat due to my old diet. I was also not feeling well at all. I had a lot of heart issues and pain in my chest. Anxiety and stress were always there to greet me on the daily. After going caffeine-free, refined sugars(low glycemic foods), and even reducing my carbs I learned that it only helped but back my anxiety. It did nothing for my weight. SO.. After being fed-up with having heart issues, anxiety, bloating, rashes, headaches, panic attacks, winded, unable to eat anything other then chipotle...I decided to make a change.
I decided to go MEAT-FREE/Vegetarian/plant-based. I've been vegetarian for over a month now and let me tell you what's changed: • My heart feels NO PAIN! • I've lost 5 pounds in 1 month • My stress and anxiety have reduced • I'm sleeping better • I feel lighter with no brain fuzz • My skin has cleared up • I feel stronger in my workouts
This is only the beginning!! Going meat-less is the best decision I've ever made guys. Not only have I dropped meat, I've added all kinds of plant-based Whole Foods. I am headed in the direction of a Vegan and couldn't be more happy about it! If you think this isn't for you, please do your research. Watch documentaries on @netlix:
@cowspiracy @forksoverknives @foodinc and more!
Happy Sunday friends☀️✌🏼 In 7days it will be 5months since I've gone vegan; I can honestly attest that I've never felt so good! It's completely changed my life for the better. I decided to take responsibility of my choices because I do not believe animals are here to eat, wear, abuse, test on, or for 'entertainment'. I will never again support an industry that causes pain and suffering to innocent creatures. The animals and future generations are depending on us to save them, our limited resources and the home we share, Earth. I went vegan for #TheAnimals#OurWater#WorldHunger#TheRainForest#Wildlife#OurHealth#Peace#Empathy#Compassion#OurPlanet 🌎 What does being vegan mean? It means not consuming animal product (i.e. honey, meat, eggs, dairy), not wearing animal (i.e. leather, fur, silk, suede, wool, lanolin) and not supporting animal 'entertainment'. Fact: It takes 660 gallons of water to produce ONE 1/4lb burger; that’s the equivalent of 2months worth of showering.
Fact: I get my protein from the same place your “protein” gets theirs🌱#PlantBasedBody
Fact: Not eating a pound of meat saves more water than not showering for 6 months💦
Fact: Milk gives you strong bones and teeth; April fools. Cancer. It gives you cancer☠️ Fact: 'Humane' milk is a myth💔
Fact: It takes 63 gallons of water to produce 1 cup of milk🥛
Fact: Their are 135 million pus cells in a glass of milk 🥛
Fact: Animals get cancer too, and since it's not profitable to inspect each animal, tumors are ground up and put into your food‼️ Fact: Being vegan for just one day saves 1,000 gallons of water, 45lbs of grain, an animals life, 30sq ft of forest and 20lbs of CO2🙌🏼 No plans today? Want more facts? Curl up on the couch with a pint of Ben & Jerry's vegan ice-cream and watch: #Cowspiracy#Earthlings#ForksOverKnives#Vegucated#Speciesism#Carnage#WhatTheHealth#EatingYouAlive#FoodInc#FedUp

If I could recommend one thing to do that doesn't use any muscle strength or effort but results in better health, I would tell everyone to watch food documentaries. These two, What The Health and Food Inc are MIND BLOWING!!! Everyone should watch these, I think they should be in every movie theater in the World every single day of the week!!! These two documentaries opened not only my eyes but my husband's eyes to what we are putting in out bodies on a daily basis. It is both shocking and disgusting and made us change the way we eat and what we eat. My husband said "we are eating food and the food we are eating is eating us to death" and that is so true!! Pay attention to what you put in your body! Buy organic, don't stand by and watch the farmers in our world get displaced by machines and chemicals. Organic foods can be expensive, but as my husband says, " I'd rather pay a good cook than pay a doctor". Do yourself and your family a favor, Change your life and the way you see food and watch these amazing documentaries!!! #whatthehealth#foodinc#weightloss#weightlossgoals#weightlossjourney#wls#vsgfood#vsggirls#vsgstrong#vsgsurgery#vsgjourney#vsgcommunity#healthyfood#organicfood#healthylifestyle#healthyeating
An open message: I don't usually post things like this on this page, as I am conscious of perpetuating the 'angry vegan' stereotype. However, having had to delete yet another aggressive comment from a 'meat eater' this morning, not an 'angry vegan' ironically, and having received a lot of rude comments the last two months from strangers online, in restaurants and even from intelligent, caring friends, I am sticking in my two cents.
If my diet causes you such displeasure and the fact that I chose to eat a certain way threatens you so much that you feel the need to constantly comment upon it and abuse people for the way they eat , then I can't help but feel you have a case of a guilty conscience. Perhaps educating yourself instead of making ignorant and moronic comments (that only serve to prove many vegans feelings about a sad minority of meat eaters out there). Just as 'angry vegans' give us a bad name, people that behave this way give 'meat eaters' a bad name. I believe most people are open minded and simply aren't aware of the things that go on in the meat and dairy industry. It's a shame most of the people in question won't see this or take the time to read and watch this film. •
Addressing the plethora of people who have told me in past months that I have been brainwashed by Americans and stated that things like this don't happen in the UK, please wake up and look beyond the pretty facade of UK farming. Go beyond what farmers want you to see. Ben and I live behind a farm, we see and hear the over crowded fields of sheep during night and hear the terrified and pained screams of these sheep. We see the appalling conditions and filth that male calves are subjected to. We see lame animals left to suffer for weeks until it is time for them to serve their inevitable purpose. Finally, we also see the disgustingly cramped and terrifying conditions animals are subjected to when they are crammed into slaughterhouse transport lorries in the night, so that people don't see and hear the terror of the animals being taken to their deaths. Regardless of how well an animal may be raised on other farms, there is no such things as humane murder.
I'm someone who used to eat eggs daily... thinking it was healthy. Well according to Physician Michael Greger of @nutrition_facts_org ... boy was I wrong. I haven't eaten eggs in about 6 months. Should we listen to Joe Schmo with the muscle or the Nutritionist, dietitians & Physicians?
Organic seeds are in danger. Four of the world’s largest agrochemical companies own a whopping 50% of the world’s farmed seeds—and they aren't breeding them for organic conditions. Take action & encourage others by hosting a screening of @seed_themovie or Food Inc. in your community. 🌱
After 2 weeks of #whatthehealth and #foodinc playing in the office, we've started moving towards eating better. Today, highlight a couple of things you can cut out of your diet and get immediate results.
