I’m doing my best to get as many things locally as possible for my fam’s turkey day meal. Although a $70 freshly slaughtered local turkey didn’t go over too well😅 
i bought some gorgeous purple sweet potatoes, herbs, goat cheese (chèvre) for appetizers, and hope get more when i get to Orlando.

Getting in shape is hard but once you’ve built a foundation, it is easier to maintain it. Just because you are getting in shape doesn’t mean you can't enjoy your favorite sweets and foods anymore. In my opinion its all about consistency and finding the right balance! Living active is good for your physical health but there are so many non physical benefits too and what matters most is your happiness and health.

Rucola tossed with olive oil, canola oil and lemon juice + leftovers roasted veggies (carrots and turnips) + soaked then boiled black beans - which I sautéed with olive oil, cherry tomatoes, spring onion, paprika, cumin, chili and sea salt and added fresh parsley, lemon juice and cracked pepper at the end - fermented white radish + herby almond cream “cheese” + a couple of Brazil nuts

Salade de roquette à l’huile d’olive, huile de colza et jus de citron + légumes rôtis (carottes et raves) + haricots noir trempés puis cuits à l’eau que j’ai fait revenir avec huile d’olive, tomates cerises, oignon nouveau, paprika, cumin, piment, sel marin et dans lesquels j’ai ensuite ajouté persil plat, jus de citron et poivre moulu + “crème” d’amandes aux herbes + radis blanc lacto fermenté + noix du Brésil

Cherishing every moment spent with family this week 💞 I wasn’t too hungry this morning, so I’m starting with a little yogurt parfait filled with carb master peach yogurt + fruit + @gomacro thrive blueberry lavender bar + blueberries! Cherishing every moment spent with family this week 💞 I wasn’t too hungry this morning, so I’m starting with a little yogurt parfait filled with carb master peach yogurt + fruit + @gomacro thrive blueberry lavender bar + blueberries! I got a new phone yesterday, so I got to test out my new camera this morning 🙌🏼 love love love it! I don't think I'll ever eat chia pudding any other way, EVER again!!!! And, this could not be easier to make.
Chia Pudding with Berry Compote
To make chia pudding (the night before):
In a jar or bowl, combine:
1 cup full fat coconut milk
1/4 cup chia seeds
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp maple syrup
Mix well, seal jar let sit in fridge over night.
To make compote:
Combine in a small saucepan:
1 cup berries (I used frozen blueberries )
1/2 teaspoon vanilla 
1 tablespoon maple syrup
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for a few minutes. The berries will release juice and you can muddle them with a spoon a bit to crush the berries if you want.
In the morning, top the chia pudding with as much compote as you like (save the rest for something else!). Then add whatever other toppings you like. I did almonds and coconut flakes.  So yummy 👍PS- If you want to completely omit the maple syrup from both to make it sugar free, it will still be delicious!.

Just some steamed almond milk and stevia and im good to go 👌🏼 and sometimes if im feeling fancy ill add a little cocoa powder (or ive really been loving the holiday spiced flat white at Starbucks for the fall and winter!) ❄️

Here’s my morning drink: 8-10 oz hot almond milk, 1/4 tsp @anthonysgoods ashwaganda powder, 1/4 tsp @anthonysgoods red maca powder, 1/4 tsp spirulina, 2 scoops @nuzest_usa cacao mint quick vita kick. My trick is to warm the almond milk & then stir in ingredients. Microwave the mug once combined for another minute. This helps incorporate the ingredients better and makes the drink smooth. I dumped my drink into my @healthyhumanlife travel mug so that it stays warm longer ✌🏼I’ve also been reading up a lot on adaptogens. Adaptogens are healing plants- ashwaganda is one of them that helps the central nervous system and immune function. Would you be interested in a blog post about them? Comment below and let me know 😊

UNNECESSARY CALORIES...... 🤔A #chicken salad with caesar  sauce on the side 💁🏼‍♀️ recently I have started asking for my sauces on the side reason being a lot of places smoother your food in sauce & really no need for half of it.  Recently when eating out I may as well have just asked 4 a bowl of the sauce I couldn’t taste anything else 😩 Sauces are also FULL of calories which I only recently found out just how much 😳  so here we are I asked 4 my sauce on the side yesterday & look at the amount of it 🤔 I used not even half of that top bit & I was completely satisfied.  All these small things add up.  So no crash diets or cutting out anything for me just small changes that will add up into results. 🙌🏻 I trained this morning the workout is up on story’s above & im now working 4 the day.

Sorry to be a pain in the bum but you gotta know, and if you change your breakfast you can boost your energy in the morning and rocket through till lunch.

Ahhhh Thanksgiving week. Getting into the heart of the best time of year! But also sometimes the toughest for those of us struggling with an ed. I've been thinking a lot about it tho, and I think now more than ever is the time to acknowledge that there is always more behind an ed than "just the food stuff"... this time of year is always my favorite, and also a time when many of the underlying causes of my ed are smack dab right in front of my face. And all too often it's just easier to run (literally for a lot of us, don't deny it, lying's bad 😅) from those problems rather than face them. But long term or short term... we can only run so long. And then it's yet another crash landing at the bottom when those problems catch back up. Gotta face them, deal with them, acknowledge them, and work on them so that we can overcome them. So that's my challenge this year. No running from "triggers" or "causes" or the painful stuff. Just doing my best to face it so that one day this time of year can get back to being my favorite time of year with no "but's" after it 🙌🏻 We got this. And happy Monday! Starting this very busy week with nutritionally packed fruits! ✅If you eat oranges for their vitamin C, bananas for their potassium and apples for their fiber, you may want to pick up some kiwifruit on your next shopping trip. Almost hard to believe that kiwifruit packs more nutrients per ounce than 27 other commonly consumed fruits, including oranges, bananas and apples. While green kiwifruit is nutritionally comparable to the gold variety, there are few minor differences.
Golden kiwi is higher in vitamin C and folate. Sometimes, the golden kiwi is fortified with B vitamins as well. Golden kiwi is seasonal where green kiwi is not. 
While green kiwi is produced year round, the golden kiwi is in season from May to January.
