Well another day down and weight is pretty much stable every day now with the exact same kcal and food going in daily the only fluctuation in weight is just water. 
Foods chosen for the day and cardio reduced. Just need to catch up on my sleep and fully rest and recover. #mealprep complete for the week! A daily view.... Breakfast: Asparagus and goat cheese frittata. Snack: hummus and crudités. Lunch: half a veggie stuffed baked potato and a poblano and corn hand pie. Dinner: Southwest succotash on rice with cornbread. And a vega green protein shake... ~1800 cal, 208 g net carbs, 91 g protein, 57 g fat.  I'm not a huge macro counter but that's what it comes to. 
I hope everyone has a good and​ productive week! I have a thesis to write this week... So I better get back to it... 💻

Doing my prep...Making this cabbage salad my girl made last week...just cabbage, cucumber& tomatoes. She uses mayonnaise for the moisture but I hate mayo ugh. So I used like 1 tablespoon of mayo and squeezed a bunch of fresh lemon juice in. Oh shit, it's sooo good 😍  and it made a ton! Also gonna give quinoa a whirl finally. Goal smashing on my fitness journey & I really need to step my food game up. 🐿As much as I love peanut butter (seriously, my relationship with PB is borderline sexually inappropriate) it's wicked high cal and very easy to overeat.

🌵Keep in mind, I'm not saying it's bad for you. In appropriate portions it's totally fine and can be a part of a healthy diet.

🐣BUT, the issue is many people *think* they're using appropriate portions when they're actually eating way too much. And it might not seem like that many calories but - coming from a guy who would eat peanut butter off card board given the chance - the calories stack up wayyyy faster than you might expect.

🐳The fix? It can be as simple as weighing/measuring your pb to get exact amounts. Or you could get a lower cal option (like PB2) even though, candidly, it doesn't taste as good. Or you could cut calories elsewhere to make room for larger portions of pb. Either way, it's important to be aware of especially if you're trying to lose weight.

So, which cut is your best bet? Consider the following: ✅We hold toxins in body fat, as do the animals we eat. If you're eating #grassfed cuts of beef then the leaner the steak the better. ✅All beef is low carb unless you cook in sweet sauces and a great option for lower carb fat loss diets. ✅ Beef is high in zinc, phosphorus, magnesium, niacin, B-12, and iron, making it a muscle building powerhouse. ✅Rich in protein to help you build muscle and obviously, incredibly tasty. 
Both steaks are great options, but plan accordingly based on your diet (sirloin saves over 💯 Cals) and buy the highest quality cuts you can afford.

Het is weer tijd om de oven aan te zetten🙌

Kook de quinoa zoals op de verpakking vermeld staat. Meestal heeft quinoa zo’n 15 minuten nodig. Dit zou je evt. ook de avond van tevoren kunnen doen.

Verwarm de oven voor op 200 graden (hetelucht)

Pel en snipper de ui en hak de knoflook en de rode peper (zonder zaadjes) fijn. Fruit dit aan in wat olijfolie.

Snij de paprika en de courgette en de kip blokjes en bak deze mee.

Voeg nu de tomatenblokjes en de oregano toe.

Voeg de gekookte quinoa toe en meng het even doorelkaar. Breng de quinoa op smaak met peper en zout. Proef even tussendoor.

Verdeel de Italiaanse quinoa over een ingevette ovenschaal.

Scheur de mozzarella in stukken en verdeel dit over de ovenschaal.

Bak de quinoa ovenschotel in 15 – 20 minuten af in de oven. De ovenschotel is klaar als de kaas gesmolten is.

Garneer de Italiaanse ovenschotel met wat verse basilicum.

EET SMAKELIJK GUYS👌

🐣For years and years, white potatoes have been demonized as "bad" or "worse" than sweet potatoes. The reasons vary but mainly have to do with one of two [misinformed] points.

1️⃣Vitamin and Mineral Content - for some reason people think sweet potatoes have more/better nutrients. But, as you can see, that's not the case. They both have a bunch of important nutrients and what one lacks, the other one makes up for.

2️⃣The Glycemic Index (GI) - long story short, people have been led to believe white potatoes GI is worse for you because it's higher and therefore spikes blood sugar more. But under that logic watermelon would be terrible for you as well because watermelons GI is incredibly high, too. Fact is, the GI of a food doesn't tell us how "bad" it is for you. It just tells us how quickly that food can raise blood sugar. That's it. And there's A LOT more to health (calorie content, nutrient makeup, etc) than that.

🐢The take-home point here is white potatoes are NOT worse for you than sweet potatoes. They both have pros and cons and, truthfully, you'll probably be healthier incorporating both into your diet rather than either one alone.
