Sono una profonda amante delle torte al cioccolato, meglio se nelle giornate di pioggia, quando la cosa più bella che si possa fare in casa è quella di sfornare un’idea che si trasforma incredibilmente in dolce! E sono una profonda amante dei film, quelli romantici e di qualche annetto fa, lo ammetto 🙈☺️! (...Quei film che non passeranno mai) Una profonda amante di quei pomeriggi passati sul divano a guardare “Notting Hill” accanto a lui e al mobiletto con sopra un vaso colmo di fiori freschi...e in mano uno dei miei piatti preferiti con una bella fetta di questa Torta Brownie con ganache al cioccolato fondente e mandorle tostate! Quando tutto ciò che desideri è tra quattro mura, la felicità è proprio lì, in quelle piccole grandi cose! Se volessi chiedervi di consigliarmi qualche film, quale sarebbe? Гастро-ужин – это кулинарный мастер-класс, где у каждого участника имеется свой собственный набор продуктов, индивидуальное рабочее место и внимание от ведущего шеф-повара. Главное отличие гастро-ужина от обычного мастер-класса – это приятное времяпрепровождение и дегустация собственных блюд в кругу единомышленников. К тому же, всех гостей будет ждать приятный бонус в виде вкуснейшего комплимента от шефа.
Длительность мероприятия – 3 часа. За это время гостям будет предложена возможность приготовить сразу 3 блюда:
1) Салат с мандаринами, каперсами и моцареллой на гриле
2) Говяжья вырезка с чёрным чесноком и фиолетовой пай-картошки
3) Творожный десерт со свеклы под лавандовым одеялком.

This box of mess had some of the best takoyaki I've ever had. Unlike the bad doughy ones we get here in SG at most places, these had thin outer layers,  luscious insides laced with generous chunks of perfectly tender octopus. Was almost tempted to pack some for the flight back!!! Lol!

On the ground level of OUE Downtown is the brand new Takayama Japanese restaurant. Opened for business on Monday this week, it is helmed by Chef @taro.g.sin who was previously, the Chef for the Japanese Ambassador to Singapore for three years.
The open kitchen here is in line with the casual “kappo” style (“to cut and cook”) of Japanese multi-course cuisine. However as Chef Taro explained, because he’s trained in the formal Kaiseki style, Takayama is actually a blend of both. I could tell that from the lunch I had here today.
From the three options available, I chose the Kumamoto Wagyu Beef ($98++). The other options were Stewed Agu Pork ($68++) and Bigeye Snapper ($78++).
Each set comes with Housemade Tofu topped with Uni, a platter of Seasonal Otsukuri” (mixed sashimi), Seasonal Appetiser and a Housemade Dessert. I found everything to be of excellent quality. For eg. the thick cuts of Chutoro sashimi was ultra smooth and soft while the grilled pieces of Wagyu beef were literally butter-in-the-mouth. 
More options will be added to the lunch menu soon. Ditto the dinner menu which only offers a $280++ meal at the moment. Two more, a $190++ and a $380++ will be made available in the near future as well.

heard about the 2 hour long queues at this bubble tea place in taiwan so I was pleasantly surprised to find... no queue  when I went. In addition, being number 11 on the queue that afternoon made me wonder: were there only 10 customers before me??
tried the Uji Snow ($6.50), made of matcha, milk and pearls that are supposedly manufactured in taiwan. essentially a starbucks green tea latte with a stronger matcha flavour and a milkier aftertaste (how do they do that??) though I didn’t get the opportunity to choose the sugar level, I liked that it wasn’t really sweet so the bitterness of the matcha really shone through. at $6.50, though, it is quite pricey, though one cannot deny the drinks do look quite instagram-worthy...

FOLKLORE: Sambal Juliana with Fried Sambal. LOVE LOVE LOVE! And one more LOVE!!! Absolutely delicious. I love fried brinjal with sambal and this was definitely the best I have eaten in a very long time. The sambal which definitely benefited from alot of dried shrimp and the balance of spicy, sour and sweet was on point. It was so comforting to eat and every mouthful was just wow! The brinjal was chunky and gave the dish great texture. I will definitely be back at Folklore to have this again. It’s fantastic!
