Occasionally my mind will drop me in random places. I’m in the middle of my day & suddenly my thoughts are on a street in Colorado that I drove down when I was 17, or at a trailhead in Glacier where it’s raining, I’m 11, & Dad is making a dumb joke. They never really fit the current moment, but it’s always somewhere specific, detailed, real.
I don’t know what it is about these places that stick in my mind with such clarity, but I love it. There are pieces & moments I’ve trapped inside me with such depth that I can’t seem to let them go. They have become more than memory, but rather a porthole that can transport me back in time. Maybe it’s crazy, but I like to think that a small part of me was left in all the places I’ve been. And maybe it’s because of those pieces I’ll always be able to return. //
Stop Resisting Your Own Abundance! 💕 The simple answer of how to unlock your inner power is simply “stop resisting”. It’s strange, but the only reason why you are not living your dream reality, is because “you” (the mind part of you) is resisting the manifestation in some way. 🌸 Why would you resist you own abundance? 🌸 Because you have a lot of limited conditioning within you. You may feel you are not worthy, that you are not good enough, that miracles can’t happen or that life is not “that easy”. 💜 These limiting thoughts keep you from allowing the higher intelligence to channel the new reality in place. 💛 Start believing in miracles, start believing in luck, in coincidences, in angels and in the higher order of well-being. This is a dream reality that you are living in, and anything that you desire can be manifested in this reality. 🖤 Stop being so “cynical” and stop being so “mindful” about everything. Your job is to desire and then allow the universe to bring forth the manifestation. You are not here to struggle and “work hard” to manifest your reality, you are here to just dream and allow the effortless manifestation. Who you are is an effortless creator. 💙 Learning to Let Go. It’s such a paradox that all you need to do to unlock your inner power is to “relax” and let go of resistant thoughts within you. 💚 You don’t have to do any visualization techniques or affirmations, you just need to let go of limiting thoughts. Any thought which tells you “this is not possible” is a limiting thought, any thought which tells you “this will take a lot of time to manifest” is a limiting thought, any thought with tells you “I can’t get what I want” is a limiting thought.❤ You are a powerful creator, start living your power by allowing your “formless” intelligence to show you how it can effortlessly manifest anything you can imagine. 🦋🦋🦋
The various colors of autumn in the mountainous hills of Utah. If you’re in the SLC area, even for a day or two, do yourself a favor and go for a drive up either Little or Big Cottonwood Canyon- you will not regret it!
“Feeling a lot of gratitude today for the skin I’m in. This body has taken me on great adventures and gotten me through some hard situations. It’s been a love/hate relationship, but this body is resilient. Strong. Brave. Even though I don’t always treat it with kindness and love, it always moves me forward. I’m a motherfucking woman and a work in progress. A woman learning to live my best life right now and not wait for a number or size to start living.” -Gabriela / @gabs_hurt

Last week I @Im_NicoleMarie recorded a podcast for @she_explores. If any of you should be on the road this weekend headed to the trailhead, I hope you give it a listen. During our one hour chat, Gale and I talked about so many different things, about hiking, about my health, my relationship with the trail and of course, about all of you… the @womenwhohike community. There was one part of my interview that did not get captured that I wanted to share here:
“I’m not special…The women hiking community is amazing. I’m just like all of these women. We all start somewhere, and you know not to sound cheesy but, we all blaze our own trail. No matter what kind of lifestyle and hiker we are, no matter how skilled we are, we all start somewhere and we go to the trail for the same things. It’s why @WomenWhoHike is so important to me because it has given me a platform to elevate other women and to let their voices also be heard because their voice is just as significant and important and inspiring.”
@WomenWhoHike has become an incredible space for storytelling and inspiration and without all of you, it wouldn’t exist. It is hard for me to think of myself as a source of inspiration because I am so often inspired by all of you. I spend a lot of time looking at your posts, checking your emails, seeing what’s happening in each of our Facebook groups and I wish that I could keep up with all of you; Your stories, hikes, and travels… you all are what truly keeps me going both on and off the trail. In my podcast, I talk about my relationship with the trail and how you never really know where you’re going to end up along the trail years from now, once you fall in love with hiking. I know that as I continue on the trail this year, doing bigger things and going up bigger mountains, that you will also be alongside me, and I’m beyond excited to follow along on each of your journeys. Happy Hiking And Trails To All Of You This Weekend. #womenwhohike
The weekend is here! The Zenbivy sleep system is designed to make sleeping easy and comfortable in the outdoors. It feels much more like sleeping at home than in a constricted sleeping bag. #sleepfreestyle 📷: @laurenadowney
