we got a little experimental 😉 are you ever just craving something but don't know how to make it or even what it's called? yea, that was us brainstorming the other night. 🙃 we had some turkey scallopini in the freezer and wanted to bread it and make kind of a lemon pepper/ marsala type dish and ended up winging it and making the most delicious sauce ever! all credits go to boy because i was still at work when he started cooking❤️
// olive oil, butter, fresh squeezed lemon juice, cooking wine, heavy cream, lots of onions, garlic, and lots of mushrooms + various spices 🤷
basically, bread the turkey with flour, egg wash, then bread crumbs, pan fry in olive oil/ avocado oil, and combine all sauce ingredients (be sure to sautee the veggies and boil out the alcohol, add heavy cream last)
Baked Chicken Shawarma with Israeli Salad, Hummus, & Crispy Chickpeas - oil up skinless chicken thighs, cover in a dry rub of paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, allspice, turmeric, salt, black pepper, cinnamon, & cayenne pepper, leave in fridge for 24 hours. When it's time, bake in the oven at 400 for 45 minutes. Salad: cucumbers, tomatoes, lemon juice, olive oil, fresh parsley, fresh mint, salt, & black pepper. Chickpeas: drain and wash a can of chickpeas, dry, remove what skins you can, season with salt and pepper and roast for 25 min at 400. Hummus was store bought.

Leftovers lunch - cooked spaghetti from yesterday seafood spaghetti dinner, made into a kind of Spanish omelette affair with 2 eggs, the end of a lump of Parmesan and eaten with wild rocket from the garden dressed with @belazu_co delicious single estate balsamic from last weekends @afoodfestival goody bag. Phwoar.
The fig is up! Due to strange weather this year, our fig trees are budding again and I'm so hopeful for a second crop so I can whip up another great yogurt bowl like this one. 💚💚💚 What's your favorite seasonal fruit??
