You've probably seen the bright yellow blooms of this plant all over the city right now.
One of the earliest shrubs to flower in Ontario, forsythia puts out a mass of yellow in early spring before producing leaves. Makes a great cut flower.
It's a bit messy and not much to look at afterwards, so plant things with summer blooms or dark foliage around it for best effect.
4' to 10' tall, 5' to 10' wide, depending on variety. Sun to part sun.
