Move your body in all directions and your mind will follow. Today I had to reset my brain 3 times. I had the chance to look at things differently and be open. It wasn’t easy. But each time I was happier after. We can train our brains & I believe movement helps us. #movementismedicine
"Santosha, or contentment, means keeping a positive attitude in difficult times. We can choose to wallow in darkness and difficulty, or we can rise above our challenges and see them as opportunities for transformation and the discovery of immense and lasting joy. The more we choose contentment, the more we are able to grow." - Luke Ketterhagen at Yoga International

Did you know that wreaths are made in a circular shape because in ancient times they were thought to be symbols of wholeness, the Self, and eternity? Sometimes worn as a crown or placed on a door (depending on the materials used) they could represent strength, love, or were even thought to bring protection.
We can't wait to create with you on Saturday! Tomorrow is your last chance to sign up.

Tapas translates to "purification through discipline," "commitment," or "internal fire." Through discipline we can burn away impurities and spark the divinity in each of us. This is a good time of year to dedicate towards something. What will you be committed to while we finish out 2017?

With the holidays coming, this is a good reminder. Aparigraha translates to "non-possessiveness" or "non-grasping" and helps us detach from strong feelings such as jealousy. It helps us to remember not to covet what isn't ours.

“Let the beauty that you love be what you do.” Rumi💜💞💕💕❤️”Dharma is the recognition that each of us is born with unique gifts, & that it is our path to discover these gifts and share them with others.”- Meditations from the Mat. When I first met this man I was lost. Searching for my way. He loved me enough to let me find my way. He helped me find my way. He pushed a little, I needed it. The pain of not knowing what I wanted to do to fulfill my purpose was starting to show. It took a little time. I know what I am doing, motivating, is my path. I thank him everyday for believing in me. #dharma#lovefortcollins
In honor of Veterans Day, we will be offering FREE classes all day Friday + Saturday to any veterans or active-duty military personnel! Simply show your military ID at check-in and your class is on us!

Teacher Tuesday: Meet Kyle!⠀
The process of coming to first enjoy and then love yoga was not an easy one for Kyle, whose natural disposition had traditionally been just shy of dark. Thankfully, luck + timing introduced Kyle to yoga. Pure stubbornness kept him committed until love and joy for yoga naturally blossomed. His classes are challenging without being prohibitive. He strives to help students overcome artificial mental and physical barriers that stand in the way of achieving their goals both on + off of the mat. Kyle completed Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in 2009. He taught Bikram Yoga full-time throughout Northern Colorado for two years before finding and falling in love with vinyasa and Ashtanga.⠀
You can take Kyle's Hot 60 class Saturday mornings at 7:15am.
Do you love yoga but are only able to make it to class about once a week? Check out our Zen membership that gives you four classes a month to use any time during the month! Four times a month not enough for you? That's okay! We have a membership that fits your goals, just ask at the front desk!

Getting back to the basics of my practice. Bakasana, crow pose, one of the first arm balances that is taught and a milestone for any beginner practitioner. I remember the feeling of such strength and accomplishment when I landed this arm balance for the first time. And I alway loved seeing the joy it brought my students who stuck it for the very first time. Been seeking and craving those moments lately. I never practice this pose. It certainly has not been a part of my practice and I honestly can’t remember the last time I visited it. But lately, I’ve been needing the reassurance that I am still strong and capable in the midst of all the change in my life. And this pose is the symbol of that for me.
Life is grande, y’all. I love being pregnant and nurturing this little baby inside of me. And I have the most wonderful and supportive husband by my side. But there still are those days (hormones? 😉) when I need a little extra reassurance. And that is where yoga comes in.
The countdown is on! 5 more days until we find out if little poppyseed is a boy or a girl!
The Gyan Mudra (or hand position) connects the ego to Jupiter, the planet of luck, expansion and higher wisdom. With arms positioned specifically like this, practitioners are able to bring awareness to the the subtle body. Extremely calming, this Mudra invites spiritual openness and ease in meditation.
