La resiliencia es la capacidad que tiene una persona de recuperarse frente a la adversidad para seguir proyectándose al futuro. En ocasiones, las circunstancias difíciles permiten desarrollar recursos que se encontraban latentes y que desconocían hasta el momento. #framegrab#documentary#film#colombia#cali#resilience#resiliencia

This couple is truly so amazing. They are genuine and kind and just real people. This is who we love filming for. Ones that love others more than themselves and are truly in love! We love their vows to each other. Take a listen. 5/9
So thankful and relieved that the missile threat Hawaii received on the weekend was a false alarm, and that I’m still able to capture more magic moments like this. Its crazy situations like this that help to align your perspective and make you realize how precious life really is. Very stoked and grateful for the life I’m living! Here’s a framies of a thankful @koasmith launching airs not missiles.
Another happy accident forced upon us by Monsoon season in the Philippines. This scene was originally supposed to be shot on the rooftop where the final fight scene takes place but with intermittent breaks for rain it was clear that this 6 page dialog scene was not going to happen where we'd originally planned.
So we got creative and discussed a way we could re-jig it to work in doors and simply blackout any windows that casted in. Weirdly enough what we came up with was actually so much better and more appropriate than what we originally had. It also gave us the time and flexibility to really focus in on the performances. Sometimes necessity breads creativity.
Lit by two Sky panel 120s behind the hallway door and shaped with bounce and negs from inside ( on the close ups ). The yellow light above was a kino rigged into an overhead fluorescent compartment ( as we do see the ceiling in the reverse ) and diffused with several layers of unbleached muslin to get that nice, yellow color.

🔖I’ve been starting to get more interested in the idea of light and shadow — especially in films. The tension between the traditional two opposites of good and evil, of light and darkness creates a sort of psychological battle between man and his shadow. As if the shadow serves to embody the dark side of human nature. The image of a shadow metaphorically engulfing every being of a good man is something I've yearned to explore in movies.
