Fall is coming to an end and the fridge is still full of Pears from the tree in the backyard. Simple solution! Pear Cobbler! Cannot go wrong with this buttery goodness. Added some coconut flour for an extra flavour boost! #drool
And yep, the hot raw cacao drinks are still goin down the hatch on the daily. It has become a welcomed vice. This combo is with raw cacao of course, half a frozen banana, hemp/chia/flax seeds, almonds, coconut drops, and a handful of baby spinach blended up with hot water, topped with a sprinkle or two of ceylon. So frothy and delicious and makes me feel wonderfully and pleasantly high. Those highs are hard for me to come by lol. This was sooooooo good to have after a post stair workout in this 40 degree weather 🍂🍁🌫

Left overs for lunch!
Sorry too busy to post my meals lately.
This may not look appetizing but you guys... I made this for dinner last night and it was the first time in my son's entire life he asks for seconds at dinner. He told me I was the best cooker ever and... I promise I am not. It's amazing what a good combo of whole ingredients can do <3 My husband and I had thirds 🙄
I'm going to call this veggie chowder!
Iron Deficiency Battle 🌱💪 😁 I am a W.I.P. 😁
I'm looking into how to add more iron into my diet without it being from animal sources and without taking anything over the counter. I'm too stubborn to not try to address this via real food. Period. It's been a battle for me since I was 17. Last week I had my yearly checkup and they did the finger prick to chej my hemablogin. There is always the long pause, they look at me baffledlike and ask me how I'm feeling. I said I'm okay and the response is always, let's check that again, that can't be right. She left the room and came back a few minutes later with a cup of water and three 325mg ferrous sulfate tablets and said "Take this now." My hemoglobin count was supposed to be no less than 12.0g/dl. Mine came back at 9.1g/dl. This has been the norm for me for So long I honestly don't remember what it feels like to NOT be tired and just have real energy. So here I am, diving deeper into real health care. What I'm learning to be the fix is as simple as self-care and eating real food and how it heals more ailments than I realized. Lack of taking care of my self the way I should have for way, way too many years caught up with me and I'm frankly tired of being tired. So it's me against my hemoglobin count and the battle is on. Place your bets folks. I'm gonna bet on me. Something I should have been doing all along.
This salad in particular contains more iron than normal! This guy has baby spinach, red chard, baby kale, baby arugula, green chard, sunflower seeds, and raisins! That alone boosted me to 18% of the recommended daily allowance for iron.
Whatcha got hemoglobin? 💪👊
