Real food is what grows in nature. Simple. Everything else is "food like products". I was speaking to a chef the other day about food equipment when he started to boast that their packed sandwiches have a shelf life of two weeks! A machine with nitrite gas pumps the gas into the container killing all the bacteria! He was so proud, and I was so shocked! I asked him how was it still food if bacteria wouldn't eat it anymore? It wasn't and it really didn't seem to bother him as long as they maximized their profits and reduced their wastage!!!!!! I have zero waste because I make everything to order, ensuring ultimate freshness and zero wastage. When I told him this, he said this is unheard of in the food industry! If we just keep an open mind and approach a problem from a different angel, we can revolutionize the food industry!
A lunchbox a day to keep the doctor away... Homemade sushi and fruit.
The trick to doing sushi is to be prepared- I cook the brown rice the night before while I'm cleaning up from dinner. Then it's a simple as chopping some veggies, adding some tuna or cooked egg, and rolling in the morning... No fancy equipment required, just roll.
