I'm very lucky to have these animals in my life directly. We have the Pluto(saurus rex) the doggo dinosaur, aka shaman dog in ibiza. We have Mystica and Artemis the floofy kittens running amock chez mama bear. Both sets of animals bring so much joy to my life and the lives of others. Whoever comes into contact with them finds that their spirit is immediately uplifted and any black or grey cloud over them has rays of sunshine piercing through to allow the light to come back in. What many people do not know is that animals transmute energy, they help us shift the energy inside, they make us present, they teach us lessons if you are willing to see. Animals are magical creatures that we as humans treat as pets or food whereas in fact they are so much more than that. They are our companions in life. They are here to aid us in our journey, whatever that may be for each individual. Allow yourself to be moved and touched by them. Allow yourself to become a child around them. Allow yourself the innocence to creep back into your life so that you may see you have never lost it, you have merely forgotten it. There is a reason why animals were and are revered in ancient and current cultures.🐈🐶🦁🐕💜💪👁️
I'm in Portugal! Here's my breakfast salad with arugula, white beans, tomatoes, avocado, and fresh olives bought from a booth at a local market. My hotel had bowls and a tiny kitchen. It's not too hard to be vegan in Spain and Portugal so far. Most restaurants have at least one or two vegan options, you can ask for no tuna on mixed salads. The weather is gorgeous!!! Going swimming later. 🏝

It's officially Heritage Day here in South Africa today 🇿🇦 (a day to celebrate our cultural heritage) but also unofficially (and unfortunately) Braai Day......
Heritage denotes something passed down whether physical or otherwise.
I realised that we; as individuals and communities; continually shape the heritage that we may one day pass down through our actions and choices. For me; today and in continuation of what I've been striving for; I want to shape the heritage that I may one day pass down. Heritage that encompasses compassion and conscious thought about my actions and their impact and an active approach to minimise and mitigate these impacts. A heritage where I strive to become an individual that doesn't accept past actions as sound but that works to do better with knowledge and action in pursuit of a sense of self rooted in compassion and consciousness.
Happy Heritage Day and hopefully a happy Vegan Braai Day too.

Today, my most excellent sister @sianpants_jonesy is taking part in the Snowdonia Challenge, which includes hiking to the summit of Snowdon, with a couple of friends and they're doing it for a great cause. .
Cruelty Watch is an organisation that investigates organised animal cruelty—gathering evidence with the intention to prosecute and get the abusers banned from keeping animals is the ultimate goal.

Muffin has become unwell, so we headed to the Bird & Exotic Animal Clinic (our usual vet was closed). The clinic is beautiful & it's so nice to go to a clinic that specializes in our feathered friends & actually has an exclusion on dogs & cats. Muffin has had some fluids taken for further testing. It's looking like an organ issue. She had 300 ml of fluid drained from her abdomen & received some medication. Since getting home, she is actually eating again, so I'm feeling hopeful!! #chickens#chickenrescue#rescuedchickens#hens#friendsnotfood#chickenvet
