Big day changing hearts and minds for the animals in Cocoa FL! 7000+ veg and veg-curious on hand to learn simple changes they can make to save more lives. Days like today we see it so clearly, the future of food is going #vegan ! 🐥❤️
I had such an exhausting afternoon eating tons of amazing food at the SW Veg Fest 🤤 I’m legit in a food coma right now. It was also hot af out like it’s not almost December.
This is curry chik’n, mac & cheeze and potato salad from Global Fusion. I’ve eaten at most of the places that were there today but these guys I believe are from Tucson and I totally sniffed them out. Their food smelled amazing and it was so delicious and flavorful 💘 I need a nap.

Thanksgiving is less than a week away! This year, choose compassion and spare a turkey— for Tibbott! We’ll be sharing turkey facts all week long in his honor. 🦃
Our rescued turkey, Tibbott was altered in a few different ways before he was rescued, including having his beak clipped. The following mutilations are common practice, performed on turkeys when they are babies- without anesthetic:
-De-snooding involves cutting off the snood, the fleshy red protuberance that dangles over turkeys’ beaks, and is used to attract mates.
-De-toeing (also called toe-clipping) is a painful debilitation, generally inflicted with shears. This practice is industry-standard, despite the fact that it often causes lameness and early mortality.
-Debeaking is performed using sharp shears, a heated blade, or a high-voltage electrical current. Turkeys’ beaks are loaded with sensory receptors, much like human fingertips, and this painful procedure severs and exposes nerves. Some turkeys starve to death before they are able to eat again; others die of shock on the spot.
We’re so thankful for Tibbott, and his freedom from captivity! Tibbott is available to be sponsored on a monthly or yearly basis, just in time for Thanksgiving!

Three hundred million turkeys are killed in the U.S. each year, many for ‘Thanksgiving’ and Christmas. They’re bred, drugged, and genetically modified to grow as large as possible as quickly as possible often causing their legs to break beneath them. They live their very short lives in large windowless sheds which they share with thousands of other turkeys. To keep them from killing each other in this unnatural environment, parts of their toes and beaks are cut off-without painkillers. When they get to the slaughterhouse-they are hung by their legs which often break during the process, their heads are then dunked into electrified water, throats are slit, then they’re dunked in scolding hot water to defeather them. Many of them are still alive. Just because something is ‘tradition’ doesn’t make it right. We as consumers have the opportunity to end this massacre. Go #crueltyfree this #thanksgiving 🦃💕 #friendsnotfood
Emissions of the greenhouse gas methane from livestock are larger than previously thought, posing an additional challenge in the fight to curb global warming, scientists have said.

Finally got to munch one of these bad boys down. I think half would have been enough, my teeth hurt at the end! But it was delicious, and well worth the wait. I'll have to eat next to nothing for the next few days to make up for it though 🙈🙈
Turkeys like Tomas are some of my #favoritepeople - They are #beyondhandsome - They are curious, protective, sociable and often quite affectionate.
Our society will murder over 40 million baby turkeys for Thanksgiving this year. But it’s not too late for you to make a kind choice. Enjoy a #veganthanksgiving and save lives this year.
