This tiny guy is a Boreal Chorus Frogs. Chorus frogs breed very early in the spring and eggs hatch within a few weeks. Tadpoles finish transforming by early to mid-summer and reach maturity in a year or two, reaching a maximum adult size of only 4 cm. #nature#mkeparks#frogs#milwaukee
When I woke up this morning my mom said it sounds like there's a frog in my room, I said maybe there's one outside your window so we went outside to look and this is what we found lol , I know we have a family of them living out side the back door but I guess they've moved to the front now #frogs
I used to raise frogs when I was a little girl. I'd spend hours and hours in the ditches and ponds near my home collecting as many frogs eggs as I could, bringing them back to my yard where I put them in a big aquarium. I'd watch them hatch into tiny tadpoles, sprouting arms and legs and eventually setting hundreds of them free again into my back yard. I loved them. It is still one of my favourite memories of growing up! .
I found this little fella early this morning sitting on the hot tub cover. I didn't want him to fall in the water so I put out my hand to pick him up and he climbed right onto me instead. Made him self comfortable and stayed there for the whole 10 mins I was looking around the yard for a good place to set him free. Just like I would have done as the little tomboy girl I was 💚✌🏼🐸 I'll be 32 tomorrow but I am still SO much of that girl I was back then😍
