2,5/4 life size, finished clay.⠀
Another little torso sculpture, keeping myself in shape for something more complex, hopefully in the near future.
One of my personal favorites. This was only about 18x24 inches if I remember right. #painted#fromlife while down in Argentina.
#bestnine2017 thanks for following me and checking out the work I post! Much appreciated!! (Of course it’s figures and bones!)
What does it mean to make art from life? Chantal Joffe features in From Life, a new group exhibition opening today at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, that looks to the past, present, and future of working from the life model, one of the cornerstones of artistic process. Until 11 March 2018.

From the first virtual drawings to the final realisation in raw bronze, all the various stages of this project had a slightly twisted beauty to them in different ways. Here are just a few, most of them via @steverussellstudios

Alright London! The group of drawings from #IggyPopLifeClass by @jeremydeller can be seen in #FromLife @royalacademyarts now through March 11. These life drawings depicting the iconic Iggy Pop will be a central feature of a larger exhibition that explores the historic role of life drawing. If you have a friend in London who you think will enjoy these works, tag them below and tell them to check it out! #bkmtours
Second stage of the portrait. Blocked in all the major sections. The sharpie is poking through a bit but not interfering with the overall painting. Next will be adjusting certain areas and pinpointing color masses. It's coming out darker than I originally intended. Switching over to use a refined linseed oil which might be the issue.
