The ingredient of the week is: ACAI
Ok, I have been posting acai recipes very often, but guys, I am obsessed about it!!! Moreover it is so healthy!!!! Let's see some of his amazing benefits!!! One study found that polyphenolic compounds extracted from acai reduced the proliferation of malfunctioning cells by up to 86%. It is thought that acai berry contains phytochemicals that can disrupt cell mutation at a molecular level, killing the affected cells before they multiply. Acai berries are not a cure for any disease but, hopefully, more research will yield more positive discoveries.
Extremely high in many forms of phytochemicals, acai berries may slow or reverse aging processes as they relate to oxidative damage.
In fact, the berries are one of the best sources of antioxidants; one berry has ten times as many antioxidants as grapes and twice as many as blueberries.
Due to its overall health benefits, taking acai extract can lead to an increased overall level of energy and stamina, and may aid to combat fatigue and exhaustion. Whenever you need a boost, simply eat a handful of berries and you will be ready to go in no time!
This famous purple berry is linked to overall increased blood circulation in the human body, a phenomenon that may contribute to a boost in sex drive, especially for men.
It’s been a hard and stressful few months and as a result my #medicalmedium protocol has suffered. My body is feeling pretty acidic. I CANNOT wait to take a break over Xmas, get back to healthy eating and start plotting the New Year!
Have you tried a Quince before? It’s a new to me fruit that I found at my local farmers market. One of the benefits of supporting local farmers markets is finding unique produce to try. Honestly, it was the Q-U-I-N… that caught my attention. ;-) Do you like fresher fruits and vegetables, saving the planet or supporting the local economy? Well, those are all reasons to head to a farmers market this week and do a little shopping. Learn more reasons and check out my list of farmers markets in #Tucson on the blog! #NourishingArizona#NourishingAZ AD
