Feels amazing getting back to a solid lifting routine again! 🙌🏼 Makes me think... I honestly don't know where I'd be if I never said 'why not?' nearly 4 years ago an at-home fitness program. What started out as a health and fitness journey for myself, turned into helping others in their journeys as well. Now, we work together through accountability, motivation and the understanding that we're all human and NOT perfect. Just one person helping another to create balance in this crazy + beautiful life.... this is what I know I was meant to do! 💕 Anyone have an at-home fitness program or service they love to do?!

1️⃣I am 29... almost 30 and most people guess me at about 22. I'll take that as long as it sticks around for a while! 🙃
2️⃣ there is no such thing as too much coffee.worked as a barista for 3 years. Started out as a side job that I really enjoyed and uh hello free coffee . ☕️
3️⃣I love to interpret dreams and anything psychology related 
4️⃣I have gray hairs popping up everywhere and although I'm obviously getting older I've had an "xmen rogue" smearing of grays since 5th grade 🙅🏻
5️⃣ my favorite show ever is Roseanne. The sarcasm gets me every time. I'm a very sarcastic person 
6️⃣ I'm petrified of the dark but I can't sleep with a light on. 🙄
7️⃣ I teach! I worked in elementary schools but have a passion for preK kiddos. Those are the foundational years!👩🏻‍🏫
8️⃣I cycle. I got into road cycling about a year ago and do it most Saturdays. Anywhere from 30-100 miles at a time. Would love to cycle from San Fran to San Diego. 🚴🏻‍♀️
9️⃣I am certified in yoga sculpt as a teacher (I practiced for over 5 years)I am currently working on personal training certification and functional nutrition. Functional nutrition is something I find really important.🥑🍌🍓
🔟I will never determine I dislike something unless I have tried it. I feel that an open mind is absolutely important in life. .

Today I decided to add kiwi 🥝 and ground golden flax seed, let's talk about KIWI for a second. Did you know all this fuzzy fruit is more vitamin C than an orange, say WHAT?!? Yup, and the skin is totally edible and offers great source of fiber but that's not the only reason why this fruit is a must this cold /flu season, it contains vitamin B6, which supports the immune system. You already know the deal if you eat the skin of any fruit or vegetable make sure they are organically sourced.

Who says that a plant powered diet has to leave you hungry? This loaded baked potato sustained me through the evening last night. Which included, bandaging my son's arm after he unsuccessfully steadied himself against our living room window. Cleaning up a broken window. Bathtime for an unwilling three-year-old. Fifth grade math homework (fractions, yikes!) And, the dance carpool. Phew!

Featured: One sweet potato (cooked for seven hours on low in my trusty crockpot) + tomato-zucchini ragout (made Sunday, and maintaining itself nicely through the week) + roasted–spiced chickpeas + steamed broccoli + steamed kale + tahini-lemon dressing. .

I especially love this meal because it can easily be deconstructed for a picky eater. I also make sure to serve other things that people will eat. Like those little turkey sausages, or banana bread, or a  yogurt tube (which is really for school lunch, but sometimes it's not worth the fight).

Starting my detox again after re-introducing gluten, dairy and eggs #healthhack. Predictably felt like dog crap, sleep was effected and my energy tanked so I’m doing a 30 day detox/elimination (gluten, dairy, sugar, processed foods and eggs removed again).

Since sweat is one way toxins get released, I dug into another @alexiaclark workout which never fails to kick ass.

•While that was cooking I blended  3 TBS raws cashews, 3 TBS hemp hearts, 1 TBS nutritional yeast, ~3/4 cup no-sugar-added 🍅 sauce, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/4 tsp sea salt & 1/2 warm water in our little Ninja. Super simple and FAST. ⏳⏰

Collagen - Collagen has become increasingly popular for its many benefits, including beauty benefits, joint health, and gut health. Immune health is closely related to gut health and collagen's promotion of a healthy micro biome and GI tract directly correlates to healthy inflammatory and immune responses. Make your life easier with 1 pot meals like these:

1) pictured -Tex Mex Beef & Cauliflower Casserole from @readyornotcookbook - Michelle Tam is 💯%. Every single one of her recipes is on point 🎯. Whenever I'm at a loss for what to cook, I go to her blog! 
2) Green Curry Soup - I used Mae Ploy (Bay folks, it's at Berkeley Bowl) green curry paste. Put 1 tablespoon in a pan with avocado oil, add coconut milk/bone broth then just added veggies (bok choy, green beans, carrots, dandelion greens) and simmer till tender. 
3) Green Lentil Soup - cooked down garlic and onions, then added spices (I cheated and used a pre-packaged organic, sugar-free Dahl spice mix and feel great about it), 1 can diced tomatoes, lentils, water and let simmer 30 minutes.

We have several clients who have increased their energy by simply increasing their water from 2 cups to 8 cups daily. Seems too simple, right? Sometimes going back to the basics really is key for optimal health! If you aren't drinking enough water, getting enough sleep or eating your vegetables, that's a great place to start to improve your health and energy! Na semana passada abordamos o tema "Gelatina", questionando se esta será ou não uma boa opção. Como sugestão, hoje partilhamos a seguinte receita (claro, usando gelatina): INGREDIENTES:
- Frutos vermelhos - 150 g - pode usar qualquer outra fruta que goste
- Sumo de limão - 125 ml
- Mel - 1 colher de sopa
- Gelatina em pó neutra - 4 colheres de sopa

PREPARAÇÃO:
- Com o auxílio de uma varinha mágica, reduzir os frutos vermelhos a puré. - Passar esta mistura por um passador para retirar as grainhas. Caso goste da textura das grainhas, não há necessidade de as remover. - Adicionar o sumo de limão, o mel e a gelatina e levar ao lume, mexendo sempre e sem deixar ferver para que a gelatina se dissolva.
- Deixe arrefecer ligeiramente, coloque em moldes de silicone e levar ao frigorífico até que a misture solidifique. - Retire dos moldes e sirva. 
Caso não tenha moldes apropriados, coloque a mistura num tabuleiro e, depois de solidificado, corte em cubos e sirva.

Here is my step by step take Including my flax eggs (flax seeds and water). The final result a bread that tastes amazing, has a soft centre and is just what I need for those days where I am wanting some bread. Overall a big fat win.

Glad I did the research, started the healing process, did not give up and stayed the course! Ketosis and eating Whole Foods have healed my brain, gut, and hormones. As a result, the weight is coming off by itself...by diet only. Very little exercise on purpose. Allowing the extra energy to heal and repair. I add some full body heavy weights a few times a week for now. 
Best feeling ever is mental clarity, balanced mood, great sleep, and no cravings or pesky hunger. 25 pounds or 2 dress sizes to drop to my norm. So thankful for this way of eating, living, and being.  Also grateful for my wellness and wholeness seeking family. 💙
