Happy Thanksgiving!! This time last year Rob and I were in Chiang Mai, my plan had been to go to KFC for our Thanksgiving dinner but we were so tired from running around all day that we passed out super early with out eating dinner at all.
This year is a little different, we're cooking up a storm at home and hanging out with good friends.
I have so much to be thankful for, its been a wild year and I wouldn't change any of it for the world. I am thankful for all the amazing people in my life and for the places I get to visit, and for having the best adventure buddy.
Where are you spending Thanksgiving this year?
Tyntesfield has the most beautiful chapel attached to it - it’s bigger than some standalone churches I’ve seen! I’m not a religious person so churches aren’t usually my jam, but this one was truly gorgeous inside. Some of the stained glass was seriously impressive. It must have cost a fair bit to build and create!
Thankful to wake up to skies like the one this morning in 📍Colorful Colorado. This semester I am taking a Social Justice course, so my professor sent out a handful of links that remind us how many injustices there are surrounding the holidays… However, one thing I know is that a gratefulness revolves around this time of year that I am glad to be a part of. A lot of us don't realize the intentionality it takes to live with a thankful heart each and every day, but voices are heard - particularly today -sharing appreciation and love for life, and that is invigorating! Let's strive, with a deeper understanding of this each year: to allow this annual joy to resonate from our beings daily, instead of tapping into it on one Day specifically. Colorado, you are making that determination one beautiful journey for me. Thank you for this delightful start to my day!!! And Happy Thanksgiving, y'all!
In the centre of one of Valletta’s oldest streets is a glimpse into the grand life of nobility. Casa Rocca Piccola, is still owned by the most current generation of the de Piro family, having been held by them for centuries. Until recently, it was still the home of the 9th Marquis de Piro. Now, it is opened up to the public for viewing. I loved just walking around the old home and of course, nothing grabs my attention more than an animal. This macaw was happy to have us around, chatting up a storm whilst we watched on.
“Travel is like love, mostly because it’s a heightened state of awareness, in which we are mindful, receptive, undimmed by familiarity and ready to be transformed. That is why the best trips, like the best love affairs, never really end.” — Pico Iyer ✨🗾 #Croatia
