#poutine at Poutine Palooza - I had the pleasure to attend this awesome event and battle of Titans. The winner of the bash by popular demand happens to be my absolute favorite. @earlsorlando offered a take on poutine that redefined the versatility of this dish. They went with a Korean take of the famous comforting #canadian dish. #frenchfries , #beerbatter#cheesecurds , #kimchee , pickled Fresno #chillies , black sesame seeds , #sousvide#egg and cilantro. It's was a spicy dish but without overpowering all the beautiful flavors. The egg and the cilantro toned the heat and accentuated all the other flavors. I can't stop thinking of the dish. Without saying the other offerings weren't worthy, as I finished sampling all the dishes, I wished I had only tasted the others so I could have room to eat more of this. In all honesty I ended up sneaking one out and my wife @dianis_juli and I ended up enjoying it at home. We were actually fighting over it. I've eaten at Earls and I've enjoyed their food, but nothing compares to this. Tulameen Raspberry Tartlet
Seasonal raspberries, flower petals. Almost a sabayon type consistency in the filling. Could easily eat it by itself as a mousse of sorts.
Paired with crisp base. The base perhaps needs a little something more to take away the aftertaste. Butter perhaps.
