Edited cuts from yesterday's deadlift session. Sometimes you need to play with the rep range in order to hit your pr. Last time i went singles with a total of five reps , 180, 190, 210, 220 , (miss 230) This time round i went triples 140, 170, 200 then a single @230 , mentally it was an advantage to only need to lift a single on the last rep, physically it felt like less volume near maximal weight. Now aim for do i dare say triple bw🙀
🕉🙆🏼 on-the-go breakfast this morning after a lovely #homeyoga session before work. Feeling tight as ever after two Grits and a Combat this week (so far) plus three more classes between now and #raceday ! (Eeeep!) Ive been stretching through the hips and hamstrings to help relieve tightness whilst running.
I made #overnightoats using #proteinworld powder, fromage frais (low fat, low sugar), 1% milk and 40g oats (that's it!) Today I topped with a swirl of #peanutbutter and crushed walnut pieces.

At the house of power @houseofpowerfts , even our sprinters have a big bench! Here's Dylan @buttercup_a10co hitting a smooth 235 bench press, which is a 50 pound pr from the 185 bench he hit the last time he tested, 4 months ago. Dylan has been working with coach @bubbanocera and I for the past few years, and every time he steps into the gym, he give it everything he's got, and it shows in his lifts and performance on he track. Took my workout outdoors today. Been very low on energy the past days dealing with a couple of things. It's been legday today but I didn't feel the gym. You know, when you feel like you have a lot of "emotional weight" on your shoulders, you might not wanna put a bar with even more weight on it 😉 Found this perfect place in the park and did this fun little workout, right before sunset, loading up on some energy.
