The chocolate hills are geological formations in the Bohol province. There are at least 1,260 hills spread over an area og 50 square kilometres. The hills are covered in green grass that turns brown (like chocolate) during the dry season, hence the name. Supercool!
Walked along the rocky beach of this island this morning and will always be amazed at seeing a #geologicalformation like this close up of a cliff (I am flat on the beach taking this photo) that shows layers of earth stacked and flipped and topsy-turvy and erosion and different kinds of rock itself... I try to understand intuitively how this all has happened and have an inkling but in the end just step back and appreciate the dynamism of the planet and it helps me appreciate my own little life amongst the billions of years and endless and varied life that exists. I am thankful of every day.
