All I can say is #VOTE ..........#GETOUTANDVOTE#ATLANTA
American democracy is in a really bad place right now, and reading David Daley's thorough, compelling book about gerrymandering (colorfully titled "Ratf**cked") more than confirmed that assessment. I did find a few glimmers of hope in there, however, including this Republican strategist's (hopefully) prescient remarks from before last year's election. #gerrymandering#ratfucked#daviddaley#itaintovertillitsover#getoutandvote
I'm sorry, there are certain connections and relationships you have to have in order to get the job done. Thats just life. We need someone who can tap into their resources and actually bring about change in New Orleans. She's stacked and backed by so many powerful ppl. I'm telling you guys she's not all talk , contrary to what you all may believe. #getoutandvote#Repost @desireecharbonnet (@get_repost)
I’m humbled to have the support of Congresswoman Maxine Waters. She’s fighting for what’s right for her community. With your vote this Saturday, I can get closer to doing the same for New Orleans as your mayor.
This is one of those "I Told You So" things and it truly sucks that I should have to say this. I found this in my computer and it was a FB posting from a few years ago and sad to say it has only been a couple years now since we let Mr Reefer Madness John Suthers in to run our city here in Colorado Springs. He vowed to destroy the marijuana industry after being our Attorney General here in CO. He has not allowed any recreational sales in the largest geographic city in CO and has stood to his word and has issued moratoriums onto a market that the city council made the problem worse by over extending the number of medical marijuana licenses issued out. All these coupled with the fact the state has made it very hard to get a medical marijuana card and if you have any problems in the application process Good Luck getting a human on the phone willing to help. I am a Stoner that votes because it does work on the local and state level. Now if we want to talk presidential election we can leave that up to everyone's own opinion after last falls election but I still participate. Colorado Springs is a prime example of a legal state that the plant is not truly freed yet. We tried to get every person that came in to the dispensaries in the Springs when we were voting for mayor to vote for Mary Lou Makepeace with no luck and now the city is a marijuana graveyard. #FUJohnSuthers#ColoradoSprings#Colorado#Prop64FreedThePlant#RockTheVote#ReeferMadness#420#420Life#420Love#GetOutAndVote#420Colorado#ThePlantIsNotFree#4204Ever#MMJ#medicalmarijuana#medicalmarijuanacoloradosprings#marijuana#cannabis#cannabiscommunity#ByeByeDinosaur#FreeThePlant#LegalizeIt#FUJeffSessions
Here @thetheoryofcreativity we would like to personally thank our friends Nuponu, and Griffin for the opportunity to see young people highly active in local politics. While the battle was not won this time, the war is not over yet. Stay strong. And special thanks to @jennerlumpkin for the picture ❤️❤️❤️ #localpolitics#politics#localgovernment#ttoc#getoutandvote#government
Words cannot describe how unbelievably proud I am of you, and how blessed I feel to be your daughter. I have watched you work tirelessly and selflessly for the last 14 years to make Blue Ash the best city it can be for the people who call it home. You have shown me that doing the right thing is hardly ever the easy thing, but that doesn’t make it not worth doing. You have so much love and passion for everything you do and have taught me to settle for nothing less than that in my own life. Thank you for being my inspiration to dedicate myself to the things I love and believe in. All my love, Your Favorite Daughter ❤️
Took some time today to think back on how this day felt a year ago. While the sting has dulled, I don't think many of us have been surprised in a positive way at all by the political dumpster fire that was this year. But since I don't want to dwell on the negative, I will say that the one bright and hopeful light is the incredible surge of political involvement and activism awakened in myself and so many others. It was a completely different feeling watching the election results roll in last night, seeing progressive champions elected to lead this country forward- and knowing that it's a direct response to, and exercise in our rejection of the fear-mongering, hateful, dark-age politics that have dominated this past year. So here's to hope, patience, education, and the resistance. Stay woke, stay hungry, and let's do this again next year. 🔥💪🏻👏🏻🇺🇸#dontboovote#getoutandvote#resist#theresistance#imwithher#reclaimingmytime#votewithyourvag#nastywoman#nastywomenvote#100yearsofwomenvoting
Yesterday I worked the polls at our local election place. I think this job is so fun!!!! #GetOutAndVote My friend Alice brought me #Landolakes#buttercream#halfandhalf (sooooo good!) for all the Coffee she knew I was drinking and chocolate Rice Krispie treats. Who knew chocolate #RiceKrispie treats would be so delicious?!?! I can’t stop eating them! I felt totally spoiled!!!! Don’t underestimate the little things we can do for each other. Or the power of chocolate and what delicious half and half. 😉☕️😍
In addition to irritating every single person connected with me on social media over the past couple of months, I have learned and I have been in awe of those who have been kind enough to educate me during this local election campaign process. They have been incredibly competent teachers, the majority of whom lead busy lives and work full time and still exude patience, kindness, integrity, and proficiency.

While Kit did not win the highest position in our town— First Select(wo)man— she did land a well-deserved spot on the Board of Selectmen namely because she has won a spot in so many hearts in this town, pioneering a series of firsts that were valiant victories in their own right.

She did this while embodying— and never losing— her spirit and style: gracefully, gratefully, humbly, and of course efficiently and adeptly. Without noise or fanfare, with unremitting effort and seemingly endless energy, she showed us what it means to truly serve the community you love.

2,655 people showed up to communicate what that service meant. And the difference— that tiny number, 33— is tangible proof that every vote matters. Your voice— it always matters. When you show up, it matters.

Aside from an appeal to always, always, always turn out for the local elections that have so much bearing on your life and the lives of your family, this is my plea: find the thing that matters to you. Shout it from the rooftops (or in letters to the editor). Get involved. After all, the person whose beliefs, opinions, and modus operandi are at odds and in conflict with your own already is. You — yes, you! — can be the counterweight.

Having your voice recognized is something that is extremely validating and empowering, but it is also the space you will find likeminded humans who will challenge you in ways you’ve never imagined or experienced before and might never again. You will form friendships without which you cannot imagine living. I promise, it’s worth it.
I am proud to announce my endorsement of Amy Pompeii for ONA Med-Surg Board of Directors. Her knowledge and reputation speak for themselves, and I would gladly see her represent myself and my co-workers. #getoutandvote#unionlaborer
