As my first post, I'd like to explain a few things:
1. Soon I will be legally changing my name. I'm not the same person I was, and therefore I do not want to be associated with that person anymore. For a limited time, this will show up on my current Facebook. Leads me to the second..
2. I'm changing all of my social media as of 1/1/18. I'm going to be doing a lot more with social media in 2018, and you'll be seeing more later.
Now as for the picture... It's a terrible picture but this is what I've been dealing with for the last 3 days. I woke up to an abscessed tooth on Thursday morning... and I looked like botched plastic surgery. Thanks to Obamacare's amendments to current #medicaid , I'm able to get all my dental work done that I have had to wait until emergencies on... it was too expensive (I was quoted once at $12k worth of needs). When I started taking #Tysabri my teeth started getting worse. Thanks to #obamacare I'm able to have them fixed. And I won't risk dying from a brain infection caused by my teeth.
Just gotta worry about my meds doing that to me now 🤷🏻♀️😂 #change2018#transformation#gettinghealthy#toothache#abscess#thanksobama#namechange#2018#newyearneweverything#byebitch
2017 is quickly coming to a close and once again I’m taking stock, and once again the only resolution I did not hit had to do with my weight and health. I’m big into resolutions and the renewal of the new year, I make new ones every year and hit almost all of them. In the past I’ve made some big changes because of my resolutions, the biggest was quitting smoking. I’m coming up on my 1 year anniversary from that one and I let it be my excuse for not getting serious about my diet and exercise. That excuse doesn’t work anymore.
This will be the year I get myself healthy and this account is where I will document my progress, post inspiration, seek advice, and give encouragement to others.
Instead of making a different post everyday of every meal I ate here's a collection of a couple. I'll share a little TMI with you. I've recently suffered probably the worst case of constipation you've heard of. My bowels didn't move for 6 weeks. It was very painful and I could barely eat. My doctor is so booked until January but it started to relieve itself naturally with diet and hydration. I am feeling ALOT better but I need to keep my digestion moving. So my diet consists of lots of veggies and things with fiber, but I also need to gain weight (and in a healthy way) so I add protein to alot of my dishes. Anyways so that explains my diet. If your wondering what it is in one of my meals shown just comment because this description is already getting way to long lol.
Getting your picture taken by a professional photographer can really test your confidence. While this image IS edited, the editing only goes so far. But damn, when I saw this, I was like OH Wow, WORK IT GURRRRL. Then instantly thought: I want to REALLY feel as confident as I look in this picture.
I’m unhappy with my decision to fall off my fitness journey these past couple months. Its embarrassing, &depressing... but i’m not the type to sit, cry, and throw a pity party, for too long anyway. In life, you gotta own up to shit. Its insane cause while my goals for weight loss didnt get achieved, EVERY other goal I had this year, did. 🙏🏼 This year taught me that when it comes to weight loss, its a mind game.
&You have to get mentally prepared EVERY day. You gotta make time. You gotta get your meal prep done. You dont have to be perfect, but you do have to be consistent. You have to get rid of excuses, make plans, and get shit DONE. Goal for 2018:
GLOW. Go. Live. Out. Wishes.
Turn dreams into concrete plans, &Do WHATEVER it takes to feel AMAZING about myself. I might have not reached my goal this year, but I’m DECLARING that I will be triumphant in 2018. ✨✨✨
I’m putting it out into the universe and i’m gonna do my part and G L O W. 👊🏼 To those who have continued to follow me regardless of my inactivity, thank you. 😭❤️
&To all those who have been successful with their weight loss this year, CONGRATS🎉 You don’t know how much you inspire me... &how much I look up to you.✨
I have been loving this banana bread recipe lately! It’s Paleo friendly, which means it’s also gluten-free! If I’m craving something sweet, I always look for the Paleo version of the recipe, because there’s no flour or added sugars, and it still tastes amazing! Recipe for this banana bread down below! ⬇️
-3 large ripe bananas, mashed.
-1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract.
-3 tablespoons pure maple syrup or raw natural honey.
-2 cups almond meal/flour.
-1 tablespoon baking powder.
-¼ teaspoon sea salt.
-2 teaspoons ground cinnamon.
-¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg.
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and lightly oil a loaf pan.
2. Add all of the ingredients for the banana bread to a blender. Blend until combined.
3. Pour banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan and use a spoon or spatula to spread the batter evenly.
4. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until bread tests clean.
5. Allow bread to cool for 30 minutes.
6. Run a knife along the edges between the bread and the baking pan in order to release the bread from the pan. Carefully turn out onto a cutting board.
7. Cut thick slices of bread and enjoy! 🍌
