As we continue to develop a greater appreciation and deeper understanding of the human body we know that the left half of the diaphragm, the left hip flexors and the left lateral thigh musculature combine to make an Anterior (in front of spine) Interior (most of the chain is located inside the abdominal cavity) CHAIN of muscles, called the left AIC. This chain of muscles crosses multiple joints and attaches to the inside of the lowest ribs and extends to the proximal end of the tibia. The left AIC polyarticular muscle chain consists of the left diaphragm, left psoas major, left illiacus, left TFL, left vastus lateralis and left biceps femoris.
If a chain of muscles is overactive, hypertonic or just the opposite; we need to do something to address that. Now.. how we go about addressing this is very important. There is a hierarchy of NEED.
At UNSHAKEN, we value the end PRODUCT, but we value the process far more. We understand and appreciate that without the right process, we cannot provide our athletes and human beings a truly RESILIENT and EFFICIENT lifestyle. The end result is everything; but trust the process, folks. #Undefeated#Unshaken#Polyarticularchainsofmuscle#neuromuscularreeducation
