#SelfLoveWeek DAY 2 with @iammelwells ❀ who's getting involved? I missed yesterday which was "one thing I love about me.." so here we go.. honesty ☺ some people love it. some hate it. but I love how honest I am. sure, it gets me into shit & people don't like me but hey, you can't please everyone in life πŸ™ˆ I'm not afraid to voice my opinion, it creates conversation, I don't care *to an extent* what people think (I obvs don't want to make people upset!), I believe in my views, it brings out things I'm passionate about & most importantly, I'm not scared to share my personal struggles in life to do with eating disorders & mental health πŸ’­ what one thing do you love about yourself?

for day 2 it's "I'm proud of myself for.." similar to @iammelwells.. overcoming anxieties which held me back πŸ‘Š the thought of going to events, being around large groups of people & being somewhere I couldn't easily run home to made me feel sick to stomach. I turned down every opportunity without a second thought & missed out on so much πŸ˜” I'm not sure how I did it really.. I actually made it my NY resolution to say YES to more things. I then felt like I had to go. so I'd take it step by step. get up. get ready. walk to the train station. get on. go where I needed to be.. you get it πŸ™Š it caused major anxiety & in the moment I hated it but I was learning & growing each time without even realising πŸ™Œ it got easier, I made friends, my confidence grew & I started to get excited about doing stuff! whenever I get a msg/email now about going to something I always say YES.. but guess what? now I'm so fucking skint I can't go as much as I want πŸ˜‚ oh life. so that's what I'm proud of. fuck anxiety. we are stronger than that. we deserve to get out there, have fun & not feel scared of LIFE ⭐ what are you proud of?

People can tell you what you need to do but at the end of the day it's down to you and how much work your willing to put in. There's a physical change in these pictures but not many have got to see the change in me. No tight leggings, no tight vest top, no make up. Tennis shorts I brought 3 years ago (I like that they have pockets, I also brought 3 pairs πŸ˜‚), a top that’s not figure hugging and a skipping rope I carry around with me all session wether I use it or not. I’m not the girl you see walking around in the gym and want to turn your head for. I’m the one quietly in the corner doing my thing, working on my performance and my strength. Or at least trying to. Yes I go to the gym to keep fit, so I don’t get fat and mainly so I can eat bucket loads of cereal but I will not go there to be someone I am not. It’s my place, it’s my time and it’s me. Does it bother me that I am the girl that doesn’t turn heads for not looking like a gymshark model yes, yes it does. But I would rather deadlift 90kg on the daily then stand by a machine doing glute kick backs 8 times a week. Everyone is different, everyone has their goals and they will do it their way and that’s okay πŸ™ŒπŸΌ So go out today and do it your way like good old Frank said β€˜I did it my way’ have an awesome day peeps ☺️

I'm not a dessert kinda person! πŸ™„πŸ€” The amount of times I hear this and then see said person eat several chocolate bars etc throughout the day. Just because you don't always have dessert after a meal, or just because you prefer savoury, doesn't mean you don't have a sweet tooth now and again. Nothing worse that lying to yourself. I admit to be a massive dessert person! And ❀️🍫 So what do I do to try and keep this at bay? Well a few things...my fav is Greek yogurt mixed with either chocolate protein powder or low cal hot chocolate powder. This works a treat. I also do small bars of dark chocolate, a little goes a long way. Low cal Ice cream sent from the Gods. And protein bars. These all hit the spot; don't get me wrong, if I want a massive bar of chocolate desperately, I'll have one! But I don't like to go having these all day every day. So in comparison to my 4 week transformation yesterday here is a 2 year difference. My transformation is by no means drastic. I 100% know that. I've had people in the past comment on my posts before that they can hardly see a difference and that kinda hurts. Because what they don't see is the hard work, sweat, tears, pain, 5.30am alarms, tupperware chaos and general dedication that goes in. Not only that but the change in the inner me has been bigger than any physical transformation. I guess my message this #transformationtuesday is a big thank you to all you lovely followers and people who support not only me but everyone else on here who are on their own journeys. It's an amazing place to share, learn, guide, help, and most importantly spread love and support each other. Have a lovely Tuesday everybody!

I’m proud of the fact that I’m becoming more resilient. This is something I’ve had to work towards, and continue to do so. My ability to try and try again and to never give up. Of course sometimes I feel like giving up and feel like I’m never going to get past certain obstacles, but I’ve learnt not to dwell on failures; I acknowledge the situation, learn from my mistakes, and then move forward. It takes a lot of work sometimes, but I’m getting there! And I’m proud of myself for getting to the point I am at today. πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ’œ

No matter how much I put the focus of my leg workouts on my hamstrings and glutes, my quads still have no chill πŸ˜‚
I was so so grateful for the gym yesterday (as well as @amy.risbridger @shauna.squats and @libby_ker_) because I was feeling like πŸ’© but then after some encouragement I went to the gym and had an intense leg session and felt SO much better after!! I'm so so glad I have a healthy way of making myself feel better and take my mind off things!
The gym really is my therapy and it's always there for me when I need it!! πŸ’ͺ🏻πŸ’ͺ🏻

It takes hard work, dedication & consistency! You have to make time to fit in your workouts and make healthy choices when all you really want is a pizza (you can have a pizza as well sometimes, all about balance!)
It can be tiring and sometimes you may feel like you want to give it all up, but I promise if you keep fighting for it, it will all be worth it!

The most important thing though is that if you don't learn to love yourself and your body, you will not love it when you've reached your goal weight or lost X amount of weight or gained X amount of muscle. You need to change your mindset and learn to love your body!

As part of my circuits I do 3 sets of dumbbell bench press and 3 sets of flyes for 15 reps (or 4 if I feel adventurous 😏 and it's all becoming easier! Missing out a bodypart isn't a good thing really and as the objective is to get shredded AF (lol, not really, leaner is good), then I need all the calorie burn I can get!

Hey guys! Sorry been a few days trying to settle and starting new job, plus took me ages to find a mirror in the gym that wasn't in changing rooms or too public πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ so here I am in the ladies stretch area! 
Completed a short leg day today! Fitting in gym before my new work time of 8:30 is pretty hard as I used to start an hour later. Today I've been handed a training plan by a PT at the gym so tonight I'll have a read through and plan my workouts!

My squats haven't been as strong as they've been lately, maybe due to tiredness, fear/anxiety or perhaps lack of carbs. I'll admit, since the start of freshers I've enjoyed myself but sometimes those niggling thoughts about alcohol = weight gain has been hitting me hard and old thoughts come back about food. However, I'm always learning everyday that I need to enjoy my life (which I am) and not overthink aesthetics!πŸ™…πŸΌ
So today I'm gonna have a good session in the gym bc I LOVE to train to keep my body strong and then I'm having a lovely evening with the netball gals and my dance girliesπŸ’›
Breakfast fuel this morning is of course zoats, using @vivolife salted maca caramel protein and @gonutritionuk triple choc whey🍫 Toppings are @bioglanuk chia & flax seeds, my homemade granola, blueberries, strawberries, @pipandnut crunchy Almond  butter and @aldiuk pb cups😜

All that external stuff that happened in the past or might happen in the future... Anyhoo... You know what helps. 
Yoga helps. And breathing helps. And coming back to being in my body helps πŸ’•

I bought @ldnmuscle bikini guide and followed it like my bible.

TUESDAY TIP DAY!

Good morning guys and gals! 
Have you had your breakfast yet? 
Let me ask you a question - what did you get done whilst you were eating? 
I am totally, and inexcusably guilty of this at the busiest times of the week and more so with me piling more and more on my proverbial spinning plates... I drag my smoothies with me on the school run, I hoover up my canteen breakfast at my desk whilst checking emails or dialling into conference calls, and I'll snackfest whilst watching a movie - we are SOOO programmed to live this life of multi-tasking. 
But I KNOW I eat so much better and feel way more satisfied when I sit at a table and appreciate every mouthful. 
With eating mindfully, you notice how much fuller each bite is making you feel. You taste the various ingredients that make up your meal. You notice how the fresh food flavours outdo all the processed ones by miles. And with that, you may find that actually, you don't NEED that extra helping or that you don't REALLY have room for dessert today.

This is such an important part of building a healthy relationship with food. 
It takes time and practice to master it - and I'm STILL working on it - but I have gone from having all meals rushing around and ticking things off the to-do list simultaneously to having at least 2 meals a day seated calmly and relatively quietly (with the littlies around!), for the sole purpose of nourishing my body - PROGRESS! πŸ‘

To quote the Cadbury's Creme Egg infamous question, "How'd you eat yours?" Hopefully... mindfully! 
That's my food for thought today (pun totally intended!) 😁 so hope you all have a great day! .

As the weather is getting colder for breakfast this morning I whipped up a bowl of creamy coconut, blueberry and almond porridge πŸ˜‡

To make this I simply put 50g of rolled oats along with @rebelkitchen semi-skimmed coconut mylk (absolute alternative milk game changer btw 😍) in a pan and slowly cooked until I got the oats to my desired consistency πŸ‘Œ If you have an extra 5 mins I'd highly recommend cooking your porridge on the hob rather than the microwave - it gives the oats that pret porridge texture (if you know then you know 😎). .

About 3 weeks until @earthyoself and I take on Sydney for round two to celebrate finishing the uni semester! We'd love some recommendations of food places to go (preferably with plenty of vegan choices) and even some non food recommendations too! We've already got plenty of places that we've screenshotted and saved but we are planning to eat our way through Sydney so plenty more are wanted!
