#SelfLoveWeek DAY 2 with @iammelwells ❤ who's getting involved? I missed yesterday which was "one thing I love about me.." so here we go.. honesty ☺ some people love it. some hate it. but I love how honest I am. sure, it gets me into shit & people don't like me but hey, you can't please everyone in life 🙈 I'm not afraid to voice my opinion, it creates conversation, I don't care *to an extent* what people think (I obvs don't want to make people upset!), I believe in my views, it brings out things I'm passionate about & most importantly, I'm not scared to share my personal struggles in life to do with eating disorders & mental health 💭 what one thing do you love about yourself?
for day 2 it's "I'm proud of myself for.." similar to @iammelwells.. overcoming anxieties which held me back 👊 the thought of going to events, being around large groups of people & being somewhere I couldn't easily run home to made me feel sick to stomach. I turned down every opportunity without a second thought & missed out on so much 😔 I'm not sure how I did it really.. I actually made it my NY resolution to say YES to more things. I then felt like I had to go. so I'd take it step by step. get up. get ready. walk to the train station. get on. go where I needed to be.. you get it 🙊 it caused major anxiety & in the moment I hated it but I was learning & growing each time without even realising 🙌 it got easier, I made friends, my confidence grew & I started to get excited about doing stuff! whenever I get a msg/email now about going to something I always say YES.. but guess what? now I'm so fucking skint I can't go as much as I want 😂 oh life. so that's what I'm proud of. fuck anxiety. we are stronger than that. we deserve to get out there, have fun & not feel scared of LIFE ⭐ what are you proud of?
No tight leggings, no tight vest top, no make up. Tennis shorts I brought 3 years ago (I like that they have pockets, I also brought 3 pairs 😂), a top that’s not figure hugging and a skipping rope I carry around with me all session wether I use it or not. I’m not the girl you see walking around in the gym and want to turn your head for. I’m the one quietly in the corner doing my thing, working on my performance and my strength. Or at least trying to. Yes I go to the gym to keep fit, so I don’t get fat and mainly so I can eat bucket loads of cereal but I will not go there to be someone I am not. It’s my place, it’s my time and it’s me. Does it bother me that I am the girl that doesn’t turn heads for not looking like a gymshark model yes, yes it does. But I would rather deadlift 90kg on the daily then stand by a machine doing glute kick backs 8 times a week. Everyone is different, everyone has their goals and they will do it their way and that’s okay 🙌🏼 So go out today and do it your way like good old Frank said ‘I did it my way’ have an awesome day peeps ☺️
Day 2 of @iammelwells #selfloveweek and today we’re thinking about something we are proud of.
I’m proud of the fact that I’m becoming more resilient. This is something I’ve had to work towards, and continue to do so. My ability to try and try again and to never give up. Of course sometimes I feel like giving up and feel like I’m never going to get past certain obstacles, but I’ve learnt not to dwell on failures; I acknowledge the situation, learn from my mistakes, and then move forward. It takes a lot of work sometimes, but I’m getting there! And I’m proud of myself for getting to the point I am at today. 🙌🏽💜

Starting the day off with some chocolate and berry yoghurt! 😋🍫🍓 I blended together a few dollops of natural Greek yoghurt, a handful of blueberries and raspberries... topped with a Fudge Brownie Carb Killa @grenadeofficial 😍, Strawberries and bluebs (I added more after, but went for the minimal look for the gram ✌🏼), sprinkle of chia and a little choc shot... and now for a day of massage ☺️ Have a lovely Tuesday 💕💐💕💐

Early start to the day with a shift til 2 then hitting the gym to make that dominos get me some good squats🍕🍑
My squats haven't been as strong as they've been lately, maybe due to tiredness, fear/anxiety or perhaps lack of carbs. I'll admit, since the start of freshers I've enjoyed myself but sometimes those niggling thoughts about alcohol = weight gain has been hitting me hard and old thoughts come back about food. However, I'm always learning everyday that I need to enjoy my life (which I am) and not overthink aesthetics!🙅🏼
So today I'm gonna have a good session in the gym bc I LOVE to train to keep my body strong and then I'm having a lovely evening with the netball gals and my dance girlies💛
Breakfast fuel this morning is of course zoats, using @vivolife salted maca caramel protein and @gonutritionuk triple choc whey🍫 Toppings are @bioglanuk chia & flax seeds, my homemade granola, blueberries, strawberries, @pipandnut crunchy Almond butter and @aldiuk pb cups😜

Some days its just more difficult to manage than others.
I can still be really bad at this. Dwelling on what he said/she said, who's doing what, who's got what I don't have, the opportunity I missed, the way I didn't want to behave in THAT situation but I did.
All that external stuff that happened in the past or might happen in the future... Anyhoo... You know what helps.
Yoga helps. And breathing helps. And coming back to being in my body helps 💕
So breathe. Hold... Aaaannnnd breathe out.

Here's a timeline of how that happened for me👇 🔹June 2016: I decided to beat ED on my own.
I bought @ldnmuscle bikini guide and followed it like my bible.
🔹September 2016: I had been weight training for 3 months and actually fell in love with the feeling and how our muscles work.
🔹December 2016: I enrolled onto a PT course.
🔹May 2017: I completed my PT course.
🔹June 2017: marks 1 year in recovery. I moved to Australia & quit university.
🔹September 2017: I've made a career and life for myself in a place I can now call home ❤
Your dreams are god damn worth pursing no matter how crazy or big they may appear 👌 even 10 year old little me knew it was going to happen eventually 😉

TUESDAY TIP DAY!
Good morning guys and gals!
Have you had your breakfast yet?
Let me ask you a question - what did you get done whilst you were eating?
I am totally, and inexcusably guilty of this at the busiest times of the week and more so with me piling more and more on my proverbial spinning plates... I drag my smoothies with me on the school run, I hoover up my canteen breakfast at my desk whilst checking emails or dialling into conference calls, and I'll snackfest whilst watching a movie - we are SOOO programmed to live this life of multi-tasking.
But I KNOW I eat so much better and feel way more satisfied when I sit at a table and appreciate every mouthful.
With eating mindfully, you notice how much fuller each bite is making you feel. You taste the various ingredients that make up your meal. You notice how the fresh food flavours outdo all the processed ones by miles. And with that, you may find that actually, you don't NEED that extra helping or that you don't REALLY have room for dessert today.
This is such an important part of building a healthy relationship with food.
It takes time and practice to master it - and I'm STILL working on it - but I have gone from having all meals rushing around and ticking things off the to-do list simultaneously to having at least 2 meals a day seated calmly and relatively quietly (with the littlies around!), for the sole purpose of nourishing my body - PROGRESS! 👍
To quote the Cadbury's Creme Egg infamous question, "How'd you eat yours?" Hopefully... mindfully!
That's my food for thought today (pun totally intended!) 😁 so hope you all have a great day! .
As it's only Tuesday I resisted the lure of @nutellauk and @lotusbiscoff to top my porridge with today and instead went for a big ol' glug of maple syrup! And yes I rationalise what i'm eating depending on the day of the week 💁

A different kind of #transformationtuesday - left to right I am 20lbs HEAVIER. When I started my competing journey honestly my number 1 goal was purely aesthetically driven. Now, I want to look good but also be physically strong, I'm educating myself through my own journey. I too have a coach as I believe you never ever stop learning.
I have learnt so much from everyone that I have worked with in the past. The difference between the 2 photos physically? I've gained ALOT of muscle (muscle weighs more than fat), I've created curves, I'm working on the 'bubble butt' and I'm strong AF!!!
I know it's said all the time, but ladies, please don't be scared to lift weights, my transformation is over almost 3 YEARS!!! 😙
There have been many things I have been afraid of doing in my life, I have missed great opportunities because I was afraid to fail. Now I know that people fail many times before they achieve there ultimate dream! 🙌🏻👍🏻👏🏻
First day back to the gym after 3 weeks off and I managed squats at 40% 1RM and my legs are in pieces! Baby steps I guess 🙈
In other news my mum told me today this sports bra is false advertising because it's given the illusion that I've gone up two cup sizes 😂

#transformationtuesday 👌🙈My lower half was the first thing to start changing when I started weightlifting 🙈 My legs were skinny and my glutes were non existent when I lost all my weight 😂 And as you can see I actually have hamstrings now 😂
These are 2 years apart 🙈 The biggest factor of all was consistency and progressive overload with weights. 👌❤ Nutrition and consistency will determine what results you get 🤗 I am certainly not where I want to be, but I'm definitly on the way 😊

😍Spicy spinach omelette time!
🍳Super simple and quick to make too!
💚2 eggs and 1 egg white whisked and poured into a non-stick pan, adding some spinach, chilli and paprika,
💚When the edges go crispy out the pan in to a pre heated grill to help the omelette rise a bit!
🤗Breakfast doesn't have to be complicated or expensive!
🙋🏼Now off to a full day of meetings and clients!
As the weather is getting colder for breakfast this morning I whipped up a bowl of creamy coconut, blueberry and almond porridge 😇
To make this I simply put 50g of rolled oats along with @rebelkitchen semi-skimmed coconut mylk (absolute alternative milk game changer btw 😍) in a pan and slowly cooked until I got the oats to my desired consistency 👌 If you have an extra 5 mins I'd highly recommend cooking your porridge on the hob rather than the microwave - it gives the oats that pret porridge texture (if you know then you know 😎). .
I topped the oats with blueberries, @urbanfruituk coconut curls, seed mix, @pipandnut coconut almond nut butter and a few dark chocolate chips just because I had them! The perfect fuel for a busy @twoinfluence day 👊 #tuesday#breakfast#carbs#autumn#grind#foodie#recipe#oats#porridge
About 3 weeks until @earthyoself and I take on Sydney for round two to celebrate finishing the uni semester! We'd love some recommendations of food places to go (preferably with plenty of vegan choices) and even some non food recommendations too! We've already got plenty of places that we've screenshotted and saved but we are planning to eat our way through Sydney so plenty more are wanted!
