There are so many people who seem so fixated with their appearance, that it does nothing but consume them 😔 There are fitness girls/boys, models, or regular everyday people, who look great in real life but are using apps to literally manipulate their their bodies and looks, just for social media or magazines 🙄 This is so misleading to those who look up to these people and use them for inspiration.
Your body is your shell. Sculpting it takes strength and dedication. But it can also lead to mental health issues such as eating disorders. Your life should not revolve around what you look like 🚫
I wish people would realise that there is so much more to you, as a person, than your body or looks ❤️ There is not a single definition of perfection. Nobody is perfect. We, as a society, need learn to be happy in ourselves 😍 Our bodies do not need manipulating, whether that’s through steroids or photoshop. I am not saying that you shouldn’t loose weight, gain weight, build muscle. I am saying that be careful about who you are considering as “goals” or “inspiration”. Is it realistic? Is it sustainable? 🤔

I made the conscious decision to choose going out for a meal and a cocktail with my friend, over staying home so I could go the gym. And that’s OKAY ‼️
I had THE best Indian (chicken tikka masala obviously 🙄) with rice and poppadoms and naan bread 🍚👅 and then a cocktail (or two) for pudding 🍹😂 All of this partnered with good company and continuous conversations and laughter ❤️
Do I feel guilty for skipping the gym in return for the worlds biggest food baby (no joke.. I am 12 months pregnant 😂🤰)? In all honesty, yes. Yes I do feel guilty. Should I be feeling guilty? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! It is just as important to regularly take time for yourself and your mind, as it is to regularly go to the gym. Why? Your social and mental health is just as important as your physical health 🔮✨ Going out for a meal ISN’T going to make you fat or lose your “gains” ❌ Missing a couple gym sessions ISN’T going to hurt your body or it’s progress 🚫
I find it so important to have at least 1-2 “social” things a week. This helps me stay on track with my recovery, as well as my physical goals 🙏🏼 If you just stay in the exact same routine, day in and day out, it can have a detrimental affect on your mental wellbeing. Each week try and plan at least one different social thing (coffee with friends, FaceTime with friends, dog walk), seven self soothing exercises (one per day) (bubble bath, do make up, moisturise whole body) as well as exercising 3-5 days a week 🙌🏼💖

But do you know for 65 day I was without her!! I was confused lost and depressed!! 😭I didn’t know when the next day would come or when I would be able to see her again. Want to know how in love you are with someone let them go for a period of time!!! She brought out of me a woman I didn’t know was there. 🦄She gave me a love I never received before. Most of she completed my heart ❤️ that I forever thought was broken. So when life throws you a curve hold on tight to the people that mean the most. Once was enough for me and I’m never letting her go again!!!💯
I went to college the other day sporting my @gymshark joggers and @gracefituk top (which would be out of my comfort zone to wear at college normally 🙌🏼). I even went the extra mile and wore a little make up 😱 •
There seems to be a certain pressure within society to “look good”. By “look good” I mean all round tone body, to be good at make up (and wear it!), fleeky brows, big lips, chose salad over a pizza 🙃 Basically, everyone seems to be silently and subconsciously competing with each other to the best 👀 Nobody is going reach societies standards. Why? Because there will always be something you don’t like about yourself or something that someone else has better ☝🏼
I’m not going to lie, I still fall prey to believing societies BS 🤦🏼♀️ But I can recognise when I do, and once I recognise this, I ask myself “why”. Why will following this standard make me happy 🤔 How will it help me love myself for me 🤷🏼♀️ If I can’t come up with a valid reason then I stray away from that “trend” ❌
When you wake up in the mornings, look at yourself in the mirror and give yourself a compliment ❣️ When you go to sleep at night, list 1-2 things you are grateful for and recite an affirmation 🔮

International day of the girl. This is my girl (one of). Hoping for a more equal future for her. I remember reading an article about a mother who never describes women by their looks to her daughter. For example, if she meets a woman on the street she wouldn't then say to her daughter 'Didn't she have nice hair? Wasn't she pretty?' etc. We don't seem to do it with men. We say things like 'Wasn't he funny? He was very strong. What a clever man, he works for ****'. We need to do more of this for women. I'm not stopping her dressing up as a princess, however much I'd like to but hope she understands her capabilities and can be whoever she wants to be. #internationalgirlsday
