I truly love bodybuilding. Being able to mold the human physique with both training and nutrition tactics is incredible and fascinating.
Fitness in general has changed my life for the better. Each one of these photos marks not only changes in my physique but changes to my psyche as well.
Well, maybe not change. Maybe it's discovery of my true self. Who truly knows?
Some people look at this lifestyle as unfavorable. Calling us meatheads, making fun of our "tasteless" meals etc. etc. Some look at it as unattainable yet admirable. But EACH ONE OF US is capable of doing and being more and I highly HIGHLY encourage you to START NOW. In any way you can. Take it day by day. You won't regret the effort you put in.
Transformation alert.... ok so top pic is today and bottom pic is one year ago about a month after my sweet baby boy was born. I need to do better about taking transformation pics because I often get discouraged because I don't see the results I think I "should"..... our bodies are so amazing and I am often in awe of what they are capable of doing. No matter where you are in your journey don't quit!!! No matter how small your results they ARE results!!!! Per the usual me, I went through some crap and binged, setting me back several weeks but this morning I woke up, restarted my supplements, had a look at my macros and diet then decided to attack today. The only failure in life is giving up; I'm human, I'm allowed to fall off but what I'm not allowed to do is give up on myself and my goals. I finished up an incredible shoulder session and now I'm killing cardio as I type this out. Holy yum!!! I made this kale salad for lunch today and it was so freaking good! 🌳🍓🍑 Kale, mangoes, strawberries, beets, cukes, and garbanzo beans with @tessamaes honey balsamic vinaigrette. 🙌 If you're doing the #7dsd , you'll know that while this is lean, clean and green, it's not on the 7 Day Slimdown plan and that's because I decided to stop yesterday (day 5). ✋ My goal on this whole fitness/health journey is to live the healthiest life I can whole still enjoying it. Continuing the 7 Day Slimdown through the weekend would mean missing out on pizza with my kids, not enjoying a drink with my husband, and thinking more about my meals than I want to. All of that goes against what I'm after. So it was time to stop. I feel like this was a FAR more successful slimdown for me than the one in February and I'm really happy with how I did. I did drop about two more pounds, which I actually was trying not to have happen, since I don't want to lose any more weight, so that's all the more reason to stop now. If you're going for all 7 days: you've got this! Enjoy it and I can't wait to see your results! .
A year and a half ago my max single squat was one plate. Today was the first time I've been able to do a full 4 sets of 8 with a plate. Goal met! ✅
I think it's so important to make goals at the gym that are not focused on your weight or what your body looks like. It's such a great way to see your progress and stay motivated. Two plate club here I come 😏
