One thing that really frustrates me in the fitness industry is that very influential people through social media still put out so much misinformation that can have such a big effect on people.
I am so careful with what I say and the content I put out because I know that someone that is struggling or looking for fast results or are new to training ect will believe anything they hear.
My journey has not been a straight forward nice line, it would look like a squiggle drawn all over a piece of paper if that’s how you wanted to track it. I was one of those people when I first started and believed anything that anyone told me or I read, I had no idea and I wanted results. I caused my self a lot of un necessary issues from listening to bullshit. I wanted to build confidence and look like all of the girls on social media but I ended up with body image issues and unhealthy relationships with food.
After being lucky enough to go to one of the @musclenerds_health courses in December and listen to @isaacdavidson_ and @lukeleaman speak and educate us, it blew my mind! That’s when I soon realised that there is soooo much more to health and fitness then what we think. This biggest eye opener for me is the impact stress has on our bodies. From that moment I knew that this year I wanted to invest in courses and learning more so I can become a more educated coach and help so many more people out there with out all of the bullshit and have knowledge that is going to work.
I already have my first 2 courses for the year lined up and I’m so excited to learn and be able to apply the education to my clients too 🙌🏽 bring it on! 🧠💪🏽 #braingains
Heavy legday means extra good #postworkoutmeal 😍! There was HUGE amount of oven baked butternutsquash, beetroot and borrocoli with pulledoat'sauce' and homemade hummus 👌 I eat this pretty often when I'm alone at home, but always as good, tho. That amount happens when u try hit enough carbs 🙈...
But yaas, I took day off on school, and now I'm enjoying some me-time at home. Legs & lunch ✔ so some blog&schoolworks, walking with dogs and cooking is my plan for the rest of the day. TGIF❤

Yes I feel absolutely disgusting, yes I’ve had melt downs and bust into tears looking at myself in the mirror while getting ready for a night out, yes I think ‘wow this is going to be hard work to get where I was’

So..... I’ve been secretly working on ME!! I’ve been super busy dieting and getting my body healthy again from the inside! I had a baby 11 months ago and so I have finally found the balance in my life that allows me to look after myself really well as well as my baby and my husband!! I didn’t feel comfortable with my body before, I felt sluggish, my clothes didn’t fit nicely and I lacked routine and proper nutrition!
I have been dieting for 12 weeks now and have lost 11.2% body fat and 8kg whilst gaining 1.6kg of lean muscle mass!! So, it’s 11 weeks until Season A of the body building competitions in Adelaide and at this stage we are working on dialling me in for those- so we will see how I go!! I’m not going to kill myself to get on stage and do it unhealthily as I have always previously done and I’m not neglecting my family in the process either- so my aim is to be stage ready in 11 weeks!! The dial has been turned UP as of today, nothing silly of course, but let the ultimate shred begin- hitting the stage as a bikini mumma this time- watch this space and wish me luck!!! ♥️♥️ @samyzest1 @michellerichards_healthcoach @thebasetransformations @toddcowie

I just love walking around in the city. I like watching people. They inspire me. The way they dress and the way they carry themselves. I always try to imagine a story around those who pass me by. They are strangers on my path but so important on the path of somebody else. And you don't know how difficult the road is that they are on right now. So treat each other with respect. You never know if your paths will cross again and maybe this time without a warning sign. ✌️
