Just a friendly PSA. Before you start obsessing over what you're NOT doing in comparison to others (fasting, workouts, zero carb, IM, macros, dairy free, fat fasts, etc etc), just remember that your health journey is going to look different than others. Don't box yourself into all of the generalizations and "rules" if you feel is not working for you.
While some aspects of our healthy journey may be the same as others, it won't be identical. And the whole point of your journey is about finding out what works for YOU and what will lead YOU to a healthier version of yourself. For most of us it's going to take some time and lots perseverance, but that's ok! We didn't get to our high weight overnight, so certainly is going to take some time to get to where we need to be. Don't be so hard on yourself, just take it one day at a time ❤.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a Yule log, I think ‘Yule’ agree 😋 Thank you @beyond_bread for being so super delicious with your gluten free baked goodness 😍 We used to always have one at home, but since being gluten free I tend not to get any 😞 This slice was so epic, light & creamy I kinda wanted another! 🙈 I’ve just realised when a Yule log is cut it looks like a big slice of a Cadbury’s Mini Roll, I used to have one in my lunchbox everyday... back in the good ol’ gluten eating days!! Any cakes you miss from your childhood/gluten eating days?! 👶🏼

Should you eat quinoa? There isn’t a straight forward answer. The reason why you would even ask is if you have Celiac Disease and if you have ever had a reaction to this otherwise gluten free and nutritious psuedo-cereal. It’s an awesome long chain protein that if I could eat it, I would. Research studies by Zevallos, Herencia, and Ciclitira in 2013 found that some quinoa cultivars have small amounts of gluten-like proteins. These can stimulate immune cells in vitro. Yet they concluded that it didn’t stimulate Celiac Disease. Still, every time I have tried to eat quinoa, I have felt quite sick within an hour of eating it, to the point that after the fifth time eating it and getting sickened, I had to conclude with the researchers that “further investigation” was needed on the safety assessment within the gluten-free industry. As I am on a modified AIP diet, seeds aren’t allowed anyways, so I have already improved by avoiding seeds altogether; that may change as my immune system improves. Still, I know there are people out there who feel like Medical Unicorns because foods like gluten free corn, oats,and quinoa leave you feeling sick. Me too! My tip to you: focus on what YOU can eat, not what everyone else can eat. I can’t have quinoa, but I can have rice. I can’t have potatoes (nightshades), but I can have sweet potatoes. Listen to your body. The research says one thing, but if your body says Nope, then move along. Що ж до завершення мого марафону #безглютеновадієта залишилось рівно 2️⃣ тижні тримаюсь, хочу сказати що результат я реально відчуваю.
👩🏻Шкіра стала набагато краще себе почувати⭐️тональником взагалі поки не користуюсь, а виключно BB-кремом і цього більш ніж достатньо для вирівнювання тону обличчя.
🙈В мене нарешті з’явився апетит 😅😅😅з цим завжди була біда 🤪

We had the *bestestest* (yes this is a word) lunch at @wearefarmstand yesterday 😍 It’s soooo hard to find food that’s gluten free, dairy free for Mark AND be low FODMAP friendly... 😖 But Farmstand was like my wildest dream come true. For a starter, EVERYTHING is gluten free and dairy free as standard 👌🏻They also went through the whole menu with Mark and I so we knew what did and didn’t have onion or garlic in it... I know! Amazing 🤯 I had this beautiful tuna salad with a lovely dressing and well... you’ll have to wait to see what Mark had - it was epic 💁🏼♀️ Got any London foodie recommendations for me? Let me know pleeeease 💜

This article might shock some but it certainly doesn't shock me. After atherosclerosis hit home two years ago in our household, it stopped Sascha and myself in our tracks temporarily. Firstly, the shock of finding out Sascha had heart disease and secondly getting our head around the fact that he didn't have high cholesterol. He rode up to 70 km or more a couple of times a week so it certainly wasn't a beer belly you could blame aka visceral fat and you couldn't fault his fitness level. But what people do not realise is after extensively researching western medicine and Tcm on this topic is if you combine DNA together with a number of hugely stressful events in ones life you can alter the levels of calcification in your heart's arteries. Shocking but true!! Sascha combats his heart disease with a combination of western medicine and alternative medicine such as Chinese Medicine. He also tries his best with choosing a healthy heart diet in the hope to not increase his level of calcification. In saying that, life can get really busy and we all slip up and eat gluten and wheat from time to time as it is found in so many foods, mainly processed foods. Through the elimination of highly addictive wheat you can correct cholesterol abnormalities, relieves arthritis, prevent heart disease, relieves depression, weight loss, food cravings, tackles blood glucose challenges and the list goes on and on. So the next time you reach for that burger, maybe you need to ask yourself the question, if it worth it?
