It honestly tasted as good as it looks! We chopped up apples and put a defrosted frozen berries mix in, mixed it around with a but if sugar! The pastry is the left overs from our lemon meringue pie we made the other night using @wheatfreebakerydirect and of course, it was delicious! I think the fruit pie looked really good, I love the colours!
Something that is naturally gluten free and in season at the moment is corn on the cob! You can get it locally so food miles low which is always good for the environment! And it also tastes amazing - I do smother it in a generous amount of butter!
I've just tried this almond and ginger cookie from @cafeatnewbreweryarts and it was honestly amazing! They had separate tongs marked with red tape to make it very clear it was gluten free so no cross contamination! All cakes are covered and the staff are really knowledgeable, I will definitely be coming again! We're just about to go up and get some more to take away it's that good! They had at least 3 gluten free cake options which is great as well as meal options! If you're in Cirencester, definitely pop in!
I've finally found @freaksofnaturepuds puddings and I'm so so happy🎉🎉 I tried the zingy thingy (lemon posset with raspberry coulis) first and I loved it! It's the perfect size, not too big, which I love! Also the little pots they're in are great as you could reuse them, but if not, you can recycle! The lemon and raspberry go perfectly together, maybe a crunchy biscuit would be a nice extra? I've got the other two to try now - let's see which is my favorite! What's yours?
We made this lemon meringue pie for pudding the other night! We used @wheatfreebakerydirect pastry - which tasted delicious, lemon curd (we bought one and thought we would cheat but it all melted and just didn't work out too well but it did taste yum) and then made some meringue for the top. It tasted yum but the lemon curd was quite sweet so you could only have a small slice! The pastry was delicious and couldn't fault it in the slightest!
This is Swis Chard.
I had heated of it before, but never seen it.
So I ordered it a week ago, no clue what to make if it.
Today it turned out to be a very easy leafy green that I turned into a veggie dish in only 10 minutes.
So I have one easy extra veggie to add to my simple doable busy working mom speed cooking list.
Yesterday I was out and about for lunch so I went into @costacoffee and bought the gluten free sandwich, along with the gluten free brownie and this packet of @tyrrellsofficial lightly sea salted crisps. I haven't had them in ages and had forgotten how good they are! So filling and so yummy and they're labeled gluten free! Perfect for an on the go snack that's not messy! I had completely forgotten how yummy they were, I'll definitely be getting them again!
Last night for dinner, alongside a roast chicken, I tried @watmuffandbeckett wild mushroom, lemon and thyme risotto. It was honestly delicious! Mum and I will be having this at work over and over again as it's so quick and easy as well as tasting amazing! It was super quick and easy to prepare and nothing went wrong which is always a bonus! It was delicious and I will be recommending this over and over again! We bought ours from @tescofood Have you tried it? What did you think?
The only issue with being someone who gets a huge buzz off good vibes (such as my awesome surf session earlier) is that it's almost 1am and I'm still wide awake getting things done...even though I have to get up for work in 6 hours.🤦🏼♀️😂 Well there goes my ordinarily healthy sleep routine.😆 Right now I'm daydreaming about this delicious mousse I made ages ago.😍😍 If I tell you the main ingredient in this mousse is avocado would you believe me?🤔 Well it is! And it tastes sooooo good! You would never guess it's not an ordinary chocolate orange mousse.😋 I'm a sucker for anything chocolate orange flavoured - always have been. Seriously though, is there any better food combo?👌🏼 Actually, what's your favourite food combo?🤔 The recipe for my chocolate orange avocado mousse can be found on my blog - http://happyhealthynat.com/chocolate-orange-avocado-mousse/
Check it out!😘
Yesterday for lunch I had the @getpeaz chickpea pasta with home grown runner beans, yellow pepper, onion, @meridianfoods tomato and basil pasta sauce, tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese and @brindisaspanishfoods garlic cloves! It was really filling and kept me going at riding without any snacking. The flavour of the chickpea pasta was good as well as it having 3x more fibre and 2.5x more protein than normal pasta! It's gluten free, soy free, vegan, low-gi, non-gmo and 100% natural so perfect for coeliacs! I will be making these again and again as it was just so yummy!
Thank you @getpeaz who kindly sent me this box of pasta but all opinions are my own!
