Today I tried @birchbenders paleo pancake and waffle mix. The waffles were good, not gritty or eggy like some of the recipes I've tried. As an added bonus these waffles aren't just empty calories, they're a good source of calcium, iron, and fiber.

A simple quick lunch of a HUGE bowl of courgette, carrot and red cabbage cooked for a few minutes with cumin, garlic and paprika and topped with feta and a lifetimes supply of fresh coriander because it's the bees knees ✌🏻
Mmm, @mollyyeh's creamy chicken hot pot is a cold-weather comfort food favorite in our home (it doesn't hurt that she's an awesome person in general too ☺️). Currently sat on the train to London dreaming about my amazing pudding last night 🤤😍 I had the chocolate and aubergine fondant with spirulina by @gatoandco and you honestly wouldn’t know there are vegetables and superfood powders inside because it just tastes like an indulgent brownie! I heated this in the microwave and served with dairy free thick protein yoghurt, a homemade berry compote (made by heating a handful of frozen mixed berries and 3 tsp of honey on the hob for around 5 minutes until it forms a compote consistency) as well as chopped hazelnuts and 2 squares of dairy free açai berry chocolate 🍰😍
Most of you know that I am not a person who is easily offended or really ever offended. I have the ability to allow others to have their opinions not matter if they agree or disagree with mine. It’s their right. It’s their opinion.
Now it’s my time to speak up. I am saddened by the fact that people find pleasure in mocking, making fun of, laughing at, or ridiculing others who have no choice on what we eat!!! The video everyone is sharing about what a gluten free, dairy free, sugar free meal looks like, and it’s air, is one thing. I get it. It’s funny cause most people can’t cook like I HAVE TO! Nor do they ever want to.
But the latest commercial from Party City just simply crosses the line. The fact that a company of this stature found it ok to mock those who don’t eat gluten, especially when it had nothing to do with the item they were advertising, is just simply where I draw the line.
Yes eating gluten free is a “fad”. It’s a fad because of multiple reasons.
1. The world is coming to light that the wheat mass produced in this country is terrible for your health!! From the way it has been genetically modified to the pesticides they spray on it!! 2. People are allergic to it!! From celiacs disease to intolerances. It is not always a CHOICE!!! Do You think we want to spend a fortune on groceries for things to be gluten free. Do you think I want to worry about my daughter every time someone around her is eating bread that they might contaminate her!! NO!! The fact is the things in this world have morphed our DNA. They have caused dieseases! Sickness! And overall health problems that cause people like my daughter to not have a choice!! So the fact that so many find it funny to make fun of those who are gluten free, or vegan, or health conscious is just appalling!
The life that we lead everyday is not easy!! It’s NOT by choice! And certainly does not give a single person a reason to mock us!! I can let a lot slide. But this commercial. The posts going around. I just have to tell you. It’s not ok!

Resolusi sehatnya sudah mulai dijalanankan atau belum nih? Mari mulai hidup sehat dengan mengkonsumsi makanan yang baik untuk tubuh. Berikut ini ada resep dadar jagung atau yang dikenal juga dengan bakwan jagung dari @nin2kurnia berikut ini.
Dadar Jagung .
2 buah jagung manis kupas disisir
1 batang daun bawang, diris halus
100gr tepung @ladanglima.id
1 butir telur dikocok lepas
1/4 sdt merica
Minyak untuk menggoreng .
2 buah cabe merah
3 butir bawang merah
1. Tumbuk kasar jagung manis. Bisa sisakan yang masih utuh biar pas digigit agak kres2.
2. Tambahkan garam, merica, daun bawang dan bumbu halus.
3. Tambahkan tepung @ladanglima.id . Masukkan telur. Aduk rata.
4. Tambahkan air secukupnya. Hingga menjadi adonannya.
5. Goreng dalam minyak yang sudah dipanaskan dengan api sedang, sampai adonan habis. Angkat dan tiriskan.
Siap disajikan sebagai pelengkap sop dan sayur bening

Apparently they are running a Super Bowl ad were they call Celiacs “those” and refer to Gluten Free feed as “gross”.
They have taken the ad off their YouTube channel but it is still running on TV. I’ve seen the ad.....
Shame on you Party City. .
I personally am not a Celiac. I am Gluten sensitive and my daughter is highly SUPER sensitive (eating Gluten was sending her to the ER). But a lot of people that follow me here, on my blog & FB page are. I just think this is intolerable. .

Just getting some new blood... with all my autoimmune diseases, one of them I developed is Anemia of Inflammation and Chronic Disease. It differs from regular Anemia but just can wreak havoc on your body. I had “graduated” from monthly transfusions to every six months but it was too long. My levels are low and I need a double transfusion along with another new vitamin to go along with my iron supplement that I take. Basically this all means that I now have to be closely monitored and am on the weekly/monthly plan again :/
I don’t want this long weekend to end 🙈😣 I’ve enjoyed so much gluten free food & I topped it off with my own gluten free chocolate cake with strawberries & cream 🍓Happy birthday to my gorgeous fiancé ❤️
🍔🥑 Serious Monday blues today. Have you ever been caught short after having a gluten? I feel like I've had one of the most humiliating experiences today. Couldn't get into my office this morning and had a cross contamination from a takeaway last night, endured a 1 hour 15 journey back to my house in tears. Thank you @honestburgers for always being amazing at serving coeliacs. This guacamole burger was out of this world and the service at the Dalston branch is always great! How Do I Get More Veggies Into My Diet?
The answer is pretty simple… and it doesn’t mean you become a slave to your stove or do crazy meal planning.
At least this is what I shared with a close friend recently who barely has time for eating vegetables!
She’s a busy mom who doesn’t really know how to cook. AND she doesn’t think about her meals until she’s way too hungry to plan or make good decisions. As a result, she’s often picking on chips and other unhealthy snacks.
So I asked her if she would try these #glutenfree Superfood Veggie Cakes from @gardenlites that I discovered at the grocery store. My husband loves them (and he can be very picky)! Though she was skeptical at first, the taste and simplicity of making them in 35 seconds totally changed her tune. (YES, you cook them in the microwave for 35 seconds and then EAT!!)
She was stunned over how good they tasted and how filling they were even though they are only 100 calories. They’ve now become a staple to help her get through the day (and get her daughter to eat more veggies too!). Those healthy veggies baked inside include kale and cauliflower.
Listen, my husband won’t touch kale and cauliflower with a 10-foot pole if it’s on his plate.
But he loves the Superfood Veggie Cakes!
I can toss a couple into his lunch bag and he’ll eat them as a mid-morning snack or as a side if his takeout is not the healthiest choice.
