I tried these @tescofood battered cod fillets and I liked the fish in side but I wasn't a fan of the batter (everyone in the house agreed with me). I think the batter just didn't look too great and it just wasn't the best texture! Have you tried then and what did you think?

Dover Sole with Tomato Compote
Never tried Dover sole before so thought we'd give it a try. Very nice but between you and me prefer plaice which is cheaper, and flakier. Anyway, do try it out - we went for the following recipe:
Ingredients (1 pax): 1 Dover sole cleaned but on the bone, gluten free flour, cayenne pepper, 1/2 lemon, butter, cherry tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, baby potatoes, coriander, sugar and garlic oil; Method: boil potatoes for 18-20 mins; flour on a plate with 1/4 tbsp of cayenne pepper and salt and mix; coat fish with flour; fry tomatoes in some garlic oil for 4-6 mins then add tbsp balsamic and 1/2 tbsp sugar; put fish in skin side down some oil and fry for 4 mins the flip fish and cook for 2-3 mins and then add 2 tsp butter either side and mix in with oil; cook for 2-3 more mins and 1/2 way through add squeeze of 1/2 a lemon. So today I'm having to go for an endoscopy, aka camera down my throat 😷 Certainly not the day I would plan if I had the choice, but hopefully it'll be able to explain what's going on with my body! I'm more worried that I'll make a fool of myself then the procedure itself but hopefully all will be okay 😳

We only popped in for a take out coffee after nursery drop off but the tables out in the garden looked so lovely that we ended up staying for a (shared) breakfast. Love these sweet potato, courgette and feta fritters. #goodchoice#balham

Fancied a #vegetarian breakfast this morning post workout- some lovely colours and a nice kick from the chilli. We have 1 pan wonder of grated courgette, orange pepper, spring onion, sun dried tomatoes spiced with chilli flakes, garlic, smoked paprika Plus @geniusglutenfree seeded wholemeal toast with @yeovalley butter, topped with smashed avocado, chive cottage cheese & fried egg (yolk broke 🙄) Plus a nice black Americano 😃😃❤️😋 #earnyourcarbs
Loving my experience being gluten free in the U.K. Almost every restaurant has had a gluten free menu, and some even had bread! Only ran into a few places that didn't have much or any options, but the places that did definitely made up for it.
Also this cute little flag came on one of my meals! 🥖🍞🥐
I'm feeling a bit ill today, I'm sure it's just the affect of the heat on me (I'm not a fan of hot weather!) so comfort food is needed! I made this brownie using the @deliciousalchemy brownie mix! It tastes yum and is exactly what is needed when you don't feel too great to help you power on!
What a breakfast 😋 avocado 🥑 on toast with chocolate 🍫 chia seed pudding topped with almond, cranberry and dedicated coconut! I think this has to be one of my favourite breakfasts yet. Actually my first time trying and making chia seed pudding and it is awesome! I simply blitzed frozen banana, 2tbsp chia seeds, almond milk, cacao and honey in a nutribullet and then left it in the fridge over night. Simple ☺️
It is so IMPORTANT to enjoy your food outdoors whenever you can ☀️ Think of some of your favourite places to go whether it be the beach, local parks, forest, viewpoint, river or even your own garden and simply prep your food and take it there to eat! It makes the food taste even better 👌

Lush Dinner this evening! Lob all this in a pan: chicken breast chopped and browned first, spring onions, red pepper, pre roasted sweet potato (I pre roast a bag on a Sunday to do me week) , half pack of @aldiuk pre done quinoa & wholegrain rice, Garam masala, garlic powder, pink salt & smoked paprika. Add boiling water to pan to mush up the pre roasted sweet pots to create a kinda sauce ❤️😋 Soooooo Tasty
