I have received a very special delivery from @goodnessmebox. Each month they deliver a selection of 6-10 nutritious, healthy clean eats.
Being lactose intolerant and gluten intolerant I find it hard to find products that I can eat but which are also nutritious and taste great.
When I came across GoodnessMe Box I instantly knew I had to get my hands on these treats. Reading Peta's story about being bedridden for months and being of ill health for such a long time motivated her to create GoodnessMe Box.

There is nothing better than a homemade bagel for breakfast (or lunch or dinner if we're being honest... 😁💗) I came across @orgran_nutrition gluten substitute at the @allergyfreefromshow in London so I tried it out on these! 😍 they turned out really well and I'll definitely be making them again! I popped the recipe on my blog (link in bio) for you lovely folks! Happy baking 😁‼️💚
As long as I can remember I've been plagued by headaches. I remember even in elementary school having to frequently lie down with ice on my forehead because it hurt so bad. In high school I started getting migraines, but they were rare. Soon after that the headaches were almost a daily occurrence and the migraines became more frequent and lasted longer. I remember the first time I had a migraine that lasted ten days and I just wanted to cry all the time. It took everything I had just to function. I finally got a prescription medication but it made me so sleepy, and if I was working and couldn't sleep it off, the migraine was unbearable. Eventually I had a horrible reaction to the medication and stopped taking it.
I spent over a decade in excruciating pain. My headaches would last months with no relief, 24 hours a day. My migraines would sometimes last over a week. I never wanted to go out because I felt miserable all the time and I was no fun. I forgot what it was like to not be in pain.
Four and a half years ago Tyler was diagnosed with multiple food allergies and had to cut out several foods. I mostly ate what he ate, and I started noticing my migraines would only come on when I ate on my own and I traced it to gluten. Four years ago I cut gluten out of my diet. Do you want to know how many migraines I've had since then? Two. TWO in four years. And they were both after consuming gluten. I had daily headaches and migraines about once a week, and I rarely have headaches anymore. I know there are a lot of skeptics out there, but my quality of life has been drastically improved by cutting gluten out of my diet.
The system I use for my meals now is so easy to use and it works for any dietary restrictions. It can be made gluten free, vegan, paleo... Whatever works for you. It's not a diet and it's not restrictive. You eat actual food, and a lot of it, but you're eating the right kinds of foods. If you're interested in learning more about it, I'd love to share. 😊
If you follow the system I do, this is:
Last night of vacation 😩 I'm ready to be back home though because it has been 2 weeks... tonight we decided to make dinner at the house so we made a surf and turf hodge podge meal consisting of salad 🥗 , sushi 🍣, crab 🦀 dip, chicken kabobs, steak kabobs & sausage 😋😬 lol very random, but great time with family! I hope y'all are making the most out of your hump day 🐪
Proud of my sweet Anna for making it through her endoscopy this morning! This was a huge deal because she is afraid of blood and needles and most definitely hospitals. There were a lot of tears, A LOT of tears, but I also found a way to manage to make her laugh. Entering the surgical room to start the procedure and breathe the "sleepy air" was no walk in the park, but the procedure was so quick that when she woke up from her deep slumber (and she was snoring away☺), she was surprised that it was already over. So now we wait for her biopsy results. Whether she's gluten intolerant or Celiac, we begin day one of her journey of a forever gluten free life. This girl, she's my comedic relief, my spitfire, my insanely creative artist. She gives me a run for my money, but I could not imagine this life without her in it. She told the anesthesiologist that he was very good at distraction (a big compliment from Anna) and told our GI doctor (who Anna and I both love and Anna completely trusts), "Try not to kill me, alright?" Seriously people. She had me, the nurses and doctors in stitches. 😂 I'll be eating gluten free with my girl since I have Hashimoto's Thyroid. Here we go, Anna Banana! Love you fiercely!
@snapkitchen just made my work trip to Philly so much easier! This place is incredible - tons of grab and go options all clearly labeled by special diet type with tons of gf options. This is the spinach and goat cheese egg white scramble. I grabbed a few more things for my hotel fridge that I'll share later! Looks like they also have a Chicago and a few TX locations as well.
How many of you have given up, or are currently giving up gluten?⠀
Mostly, people will jump through hoops to try to find out if they're actually allergic to something.⠀
Peanuts, shellfish, dairy, eggs etc etc.⠀
Avoiding death is usually a pretty good reason to have a load of blood tests.⠀
The rules are different for gluten it seems.⠀
Usually, the reasons for gluten avoidance come from watching one program by Hemsley and Hemsley.⠀
Or is weight loss the actual goal?⠀
Want an easy way to give up cakes, bread, pizza, beer, and doughnuts?⠀
Yep, just say gluten is bad for you.⠀
Instead of going out to eat and having to admit that you don’t want the fried chicken because of the calories, you can now say it’s because of the flour.⠀
Instead of judging you, your friends become attentive and listen.⠀
You’re a health authority now.⠀
You know stuff!⠀
You don’t want to look better in the mirror, you care about your health!⠀
Weight loss is about energy balance, not magic.⠀
To set the record straight, I wrote a blog that explains:⠀
🥖 why a gluten free diet won't help you lose weight⠀
🥖 why a gluten free diet won't help with performance⠀
🥖 why weight loss or eating for health will go a lot better if you avoid trends, misinformation, and cultism⠀
Tap the link in the bio to check it out.⠀

Her zaman söylerim; "kadın" olmak, makyaj yapıp, giyinip, süslenip gezmek demek değildir.
