I know it not always easy, but I promise it is SO worth it!
Summertime is full of distractions so I'm channeling my inner Rihanna today and focusing on finishing strong for the month instead of getting caught up in the chaos around me. I may not achieve all of my goals this month, but if I keep my attention on what's important to me, I know I'll get close. How do you stay focused on your goals?
👭👬👭As they say you become the average of the 5 people you spend most time with. If you are with driven people you are likely to be more driven and likewise if you are around those who less ambitious, aah well you are likely to remain. It makes no sense whatsoever to hold onto people who aren’t uplifting. By any means they would actually want you to remain and settle.
☺🌅If you are about your future, you need to guard it and even moreso secure it by separating yourself from people who do not share your vision, and look far less like your future. Being around people whose future is worlds apart from yours can be draining. There is no left or right when it comes to your future so why not stop associating with people who are comfortable with their current situation and hardly intend to grow. It is more than difficult to expect change when you continue to do the same old things and with the same old people.
👭💪👌👑Your future desires are going to make you think twice and find those who resonate with your ambitions. As they say, like attracts like, you will certainly meet new people whose energy vibes with yours. Keeping company with people who look more like your future will help you to broaden your perspective and grow. My journey: My heaviest weight summer 2009 185lbs, just after I finished Culinary school. Never worked out a day in my life. Yo-yo dieter. To Bottom right in 2013 finding that lifting weights and eating lean protein was the key to successful weight loss. Weighing 135lbs at my lowest in 2014. Gaining muscle and fluctuating in my weight until January 2017. Started infertility testing and medication, gaining fat 😩 I stopped taking medication in April. Began lifting weights more and upping my cardio! Transformation in progress again... back to tracking my macros and clean eating!

Find yourself a training partner who 1) is willing to record every damn set you do 2) will cheer you on throughout the misery 3) agrees to participate in outrageous ideas such as sprinting up a hill with a big 'ol sandbag (not fun by the way) AND 4) narrates the lives of bugs 🐛 [the last one is v important] So lucky to have @brittanytabzzz and ALL of #TeamSparkles by my side 🙌🏼

I will always promote "Good Vibes", but my life marathon for success is partially fueled by the chip on my shoulder. I like to think that's how you turn a negative into a positive 😀 A chip on our shoulder helps keep us on track with consistency and self-discipline. A chip gives us an edge. Sometimes we must create momentum. A chip motivates us to task every single day... keeping the flow in tact and ensuring continuous progress. This is the key to getting things done! I find it easy to manufacture a chip on my shoulder... a “slight” to motivate me towards the completion of a task or goal. This innate ability has benefited me immensely in life 💪 How about you? I truly believe in this quote! Growing up I did not care too much about school and my family did not have much money. Due to not having money I never felt very girly. I never had my hair done at a salon (for prom or just in general). I never had professional pictures taken for my senior pictures or had my nails done. I never planned to go to college and was never asked if I planned to go. I found myself as a single parent at the age of 23, while I attended college and had 3 jobs. These were the hardest and most rewarding years of my life! After several years and taking out several student loans, I completed college and received my masters degree! I am now married to an amazing, supportive husband, with 2 boys, and I am very grateful for all my family has today! I have also now found Agnes & Dora, which has filled my void of not feeling girly! I REALLY had to push myself out of bed and into my workout clothes today! It was perfect sleeping 😌 weather out and I did not want to get out if my bed! Cool, crisp morning air with a light breeze and where your sheets feel so cool to the touch! Ahh!!! .
But I have goals I am trying to crush and was on a schedule this morning so snoozing was NOT an option!! I promise that if you push yourself and Hit snooze ON snoozing you are going to reach your goals so much faster and before your eyes! 🙌

💛Closure is defined as the act or process of closing something, especially an institution, thoroughfare, or frontier, or of being closed.💛 Sometimes we seek out closure to doors we have left open for people, situation and moments we still feel attached to. Because our minds trick us in believe the situation or person hold some magical power we can only get from them or it. However, because so many people have pride, or no sense of responsibility they will not meet us at place where we can close the door or chapter. Not everyone grants us closure we feel we deserves. In order to move on in life we must reflect and accept the lessons in front of us. No matter if someone or situation allows us the opportunity to gain the answers to the many unanswered questions we have in the back of our minds. Sometimes the best closure is accepting, forgiving and understanding you made it out the situation in one pieces. Dont allow too many unneed doors to remain open because oneday you will need those doors to be close so that the right ones have space to open. So for today do your best to write it out, speak it out or simply find the confidence to close some of these useless doors that are remaining. The life you deserve is waiting on you to move forward.
