In one of my childhood photos I'm standing in front of bouganvilea back in Zambia. It's the national flower for Zambia my motherland 😊 I'm of dual ethnicity, father is Welsh and my mother Zambian. My children are English, Zambian, Welsh and Colombian. It makes for a interesting mix!

When you visualize your goals, you are more likely to make it happen. #fact (I made several goal boards, checklists, etc.) I saw it every day because I placed it in a spot I would see it most frequently. It reminded me to make sure that I stayed on my path. I checked off every baby step and thought it would take foreverrrr in the beginning. I feared not getting in so I made sure I did everything I could in my power from the getgo. 🍁🍂🍃🍁🍂🍃

Maar wel vervelend als je bijvoorbeeld net een te gek idee gemaild had voor een samenwerking. Met deze reminders vergroot jij de kans op een snelle reply. 1️⃣ Bedenk een pakkende onderwerpregel. Beschrijf in één korte zin de inhoud van je mail en wat jij precies van de ontvanger wil. Zij kunnen dan meteen zien of het belangrijk en/of interessant voor hen is. 2️⃣ Mails met grammaticale fouten of namen die verkeerd gespeld zijn, komen onprofessioneel over. Lees de tekst in zijn geheel altijd nog eens goed door. 3️⃣ Laat aan het einde van je mail weten wat je van iemand verwacht en wanneer en bedank alvast voor het antwoorden. Sluit je mail af met een zin als: ik licht mijn e-mail graag toe tijdens een kop koffie. Een persoonlijke handtekening met bijvoorbeeld een inspirerende quote doet het ook altijd goed. 4️⃣ Op maandag worden er al genoeg mailtjes verstuurd, dus de kans is een stuk groter dat jouw mail dan op de stapel belandt. This is a post for all of us dealing with things like me. I’ve been in a bad place mentally but that should be something permanent in your life. I may be at a low point but I shouldn’t give up and just stay there. Strive to continuously make yourself better and develop yourself. Lately there’s been a lot of doubt, comparison, anger,jealousy, procrastination, lack of motivation and inspiration and negativity. My posting of quotes isn’t just for other girls but also for me. It’s also a way for me to get things across to myself and empower myself like everyone else. I love quotes because that’s one of the ways I speak to myself and call myself out on my bullshit. -
Few tips to help you whilst in a bad place:
1. Identify your bad place be is mental or physical
2. Visualise where you want to be.
3. Identify habits that would get you there
4. Get a habit tracker to help you stay on top (swipe left to see mine)
5. Surround yourself with positive motivation such as podcasts, Youtube videos and blogs e.g TedTalks
6. Be gentle with yourself, some days will be harder than others to get yourself to take the steps to getting yourself out of your bad place.
7. Take care of yourself: develop rituals and routines e.g skincare routine
8. Read books no matter how little per day
9. Stay away from people who trigger your bad place e.g negative people, nagging friends
10. Realise that you’re on a journey and you won’t get there in one day or one week. No one is perfect and you will get there no matter how long it takes you.

I was asked: WHY AM I BULKING.
📍My progress plateaued. Even eating just a bit more, I gained weight. I’m also losing strength.
📍I have biceps, quads definition and what seemed like a 6 pack but the muscles look deflated. And deflated muscles are NOT NICE 🙅.
📍Hormone out of whack. Cortisol through the roof, irregular period and 💤sleep problems.
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?
🔹The body didn’t get enough rest and not enough fuel (food). I sure am a fitness addict and definitely over-trained. I wasn’t an advocate for calorie counting and have eat intuitively BUT it also meant I MIGHT under feed myself without realising it
🔹Metabolism has adapted and might have even ‘damaged’. .
🔹Not enough energy and body is ‘smart’ enough to slow down production. Eventually, it shuts down all bodily function to reserve energy for workouts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .
WHAT TO DO TO FIX IT?
✅ Eat more and go on caloric surplus (min 3000 cal/day now)
✅ Stop excessive HIIT/cardio and cut down on the frequency (3 workouts/week MAX). Too much HIIT sent the body into fight or flight mode.
I don’t know how long this will take. I’m thinking refeeding phase will be a MIN of 3 months. The body needs to get out of survival mode and feel safe to rev up the metabolism, build muscle/strength and perform other bodily functions again.
I’m STRUGGLING some days. With more calories, weight gain is inevitable. I felt like a whale most days and am a sad puppy looking at people lifting weights while I REST AND EAT 🍴. I’m prepared to lose all definition until I recover, then with a fixed metabolism and more muscle, cutting phase should reveal a stronger and leaner fuller muscle 💪.

It's that simple but its human nature to complicate things.
Did you know you are 42% more likely to achieve your goals you write them down.
The problem is a lot of the time we feel stuck and the goal feels huge or the fear of moving forward freezes you i your tracks.
So the default response is to not do anything but then you feel awful. It's the nagging feeling in the pit of your stomach that you are never going to get out of the situation you are in!! You will, but you have to want too. There are steps you can take to support the process of becoming unstuck
