Just coming out of the incredible #warweekend along the #northyorkmoorsrailway - a Spitfire plane, RAF station, radios and morse code specialists and beautiful old cars, jive dancers old posters and so so many incredibly dressed people - photos (not from my phone but from my proper camera) incoming .. @northyorkshiremoorsrailway /// FANTASTIC job
Edit for context: I attended a 1940s war weekend where they did re-enactments of British, American and Nazis troops. There was an entire area dedicated to occupied France that attempted to demonstrate the daily fear people had while living under Nazi control. There were random searches and people being dragged away by enforcers. It served as an educational tool that gave a glimpse into the times and made me appreciate the freedoms I have now because brave people (like my grandparents) enlisted. .
We had to make sure that the new costume fits. Luna is a cupcake. It’s actually Poundcake’s costume, but I didn’t want to bother her one leg since it’s still a little tender.

One of my favourite photographs of the Railway in Wartime festival this weekend at Goathland. Such an amazing event - picked just the right spot to take this one. 🚂🚂 #goathland#goathlandstation#steamtrain
