Today I had one of my favorite fruits for breakfast here in Koh Phangan. They’re called longsat, longkong or duku and @omnomfruit has really put the texture and taste into words; it’s like a soft gummy candy with a tropical taste, sweet and refreshing, with an occasional hint of grapefruit. It’s easy to look at how I eat and think, “that’s so restrictive.” No meat, no dairy, no eggs, no cooked foods. Just fruit monomeals, daily green juices, occasionally salads, maybe some superfood powders and a small amount of nuts/seeds. Yeah that’s all I eat. But ironically, I’ve experienced nothing short of ABUNDANCE. The foods I consume don’t bind me, they don’t hold me back mentally, they don’t numb me emotionally, they don’t destroy me physically. It’s not even about animal products vs vegan or cooked vs raw. I want to eat foods that make me feel alive. I used to sedate myself with “foods”, not knowing and understanding why they aren’t designed for our consumption.  A state I wasn’t aware of because I didn’t have any frame of reference. Now that I know, I choose foods that allow me to fully experience this life: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually #drinkyourgreens #rawfoodist

I paired it with a leftover breakfast hash and some mango salsa (because I don’t think I can eat a meal without fruit in it).

(I mean unless it’s not vegan - then it’s kind of UGLY)🙈 but this ice cream - made with frozen bananas, vanilla stevia drops, coconut milk, blue spirulina and topped with vegan chocolate chips and buckwheat groats - all the people it took to grow the bananas, the spirulina, make the coconut milk🥥 and the whole process. Be grateful for your food! And now we get to enjoy eating it.😛🤩

1 scoop LivWell cacao plant protein
3/4 cup almond milk
2 tbsp. cacao
2 tbsp. peanut or almond butter, optional 
Pinch of sea salt
Top with: cacao nibs or broken up dark chocolate.

they are typical Maghreb rolls, in a vegan version, prepared with a very thin dough called brick.

I made two versions:

1. filled with crushed potato, mushrooms, garlic, parsley and spices.

2. filled with leek, onion, garlic, parsley, brussels sprous, spices and #sobanoodles. and what is it?
--> Soba noodles are japanese noodles made from buckwheat flour.  So Yup... I mixed ingredients from different countries and traditions, but the result was excellent

there are several ways to wrap these rolls.
Once finished, brush the brik rolls with oil and  Bake at 150°C for 15/20 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.

This is my official day one of my juice feast. Although I have been juicing for the past 3 weeks, it is time to recommit, not just to juicing but to all the health rituals that help me to feel better and create the life I desire. Why juice feast? Well, I have been dealing with some dis-ease (type 2 rosacea, severe acne, digestive issues) for the past 3.5 years or so of my life. There were times I felt nearly fully healed, and times I just wanted to give up because I saw no hope to ever lead a peaceful life. Eating a fruit based diet for the past year or so has helped me a lot, throughout all kinds of intense stress, heart break, feeling lost and alone in this world. And herbs, which I feel so much gratitude for. They seem to just fall on my path at the exact right time and I truly believe in its healing properties. Over the past few months, my symptoms flared up again and this time, I am trying a new route, a last resort of some kind. Thank you to @jamieisrawvegan for inspiring me to jump into this journey. I know we can all heal, live in peace and abundance and deserve to live a free life. Thank you. I would love to hear from anyone about their experience with fasting/detoxifying!

Cantidad: 2 -3 personas

Ingredientes:
✔1 melón dulce chiquito o unas 4 o 5 rodajas de melón (mejor frío) ✔1 pepino con piel (mejor frío) ✔1/4 de aguacate ✔2 cucharadas de aceite de oliva de primera prensada en frío ✔1 cucharada de jugo de limón ✔una pizca de ralladura de limón ✔1 puñado generoso de hojas de albahaca ✔Sal marina o rosa al gusto
Extras:
✔Pimienta recién molida para decorar ✔Aceite de oliva ✔hojas de albahaca
✔flores comestibles
➡Preparación:
Poner todos los ingredientes de la sopa en la licuadora o en una mini pimer y licuar o mixear hasta que no queden grumos y quede una mezcla homogénea. 
Si no está muy fría se puede añadir un par de hielos de agua o de leche vegetal (almendra, coco, sésamo, etc.)🤗
Servir fría con un poquito de aceite de oliva, pimienta recién molida, unas hojas de albahaca y flores comestibles (opcional).

Das Treffen gestern mit den "Kollegen" meiner Eltern.

Es war unerwartet schön.
Meine beiden früheren Kindersitterinnen waren mit ihren Freunden und kleinen Babys da♥️ Normaler Weise mag ich Babys nicht so gerne und bin auch prinzipiell eher menschenscheu, aber das war einfach nur toll😄 
Die beiden "Sitterinnen" haben sich so unfassbar doll entwickelt und sind vom Charakter her aber noch ganz genau die selben💪 
Es war auch sehr schön, den Freund der einen wieder zu treffen, denn ich habe schon früher ganz gerne seine Witze gemocht. 
Die beiden sind übrigens Schwestern und die eine 26 und die andere 33 Jahre jung.

Die "Leihoma" meines kleinen Bruders war auch da und sie hat sich die ganzen ‼️ 3 STUNDEN‼️ lang durchgehend darüber aufgeregt, wie unverschämt groß die Portionen in de Gasthaus doch seien... (Niemand vom ganzen Tisch hat seinen ganzen Teller leer gegessen, also stimmt das wohl auch) 
Mir hat das nicht sonderlich beim Essen geholfen😣 .

A bowl full 'o chips? One of my papaya creations was making chips! There is something  about eating regular potato chips that I enjoy...savoring the flavor of plain ones have a certain sense of satisfaction, not because of the saltiness, but the crunch factor. I swapped out those for homemade fruit chips...no additives, just pure fruit goodness!! 😍 Anyone else?

I spent a lot of the year struggling with food and fluids due to a non functioning large intestine. Between 6/15-10/12, this is how I was fed for a total of 34 days. Other than TPN and lipids, I’ve needed to consume Ensure and super smoothies when tolerated to get the protein and nutrients my body needed to keep me from continuing to lose weight and muscle. Some noticed and I was called “Anorexic” or told often to “eat a burger.” Some didn’t because on my 5’10” frame, I’ve always been thin and lanky and have small bone structure. While I continue to have some problems...with the help of IV hydration through my port and now being able to eat at least once a day, I’ve been able to avoid anymore TPN and lipids and I am maintaining my weight. While I haven’t really gained, I haven’t lost so that has been a step in the right direction. All this has a point...I am determined to make 2018 a year of recovery...a year of THRIVING. I’ve been reading the words by the #medicalmedium and I am inspired. I may not be able control everything in my life, but I can control what I put in my body and I’m hoping for some healing from the inside out. This is one of his quotes that really resonated with me...{“The truth about the world, ourselves, life, purpose-it all comes down to healing. And the truth about healing is now in your hands.” ~Anthony William} Sooo here is to healing and now to go buy the stores out of some celery!!! my girl, gianna has been naturally drawn to fruit since she began eating whole foods. if you watch my ig stories you often see her with a big plate of fruit like this. she is 90 percent fruit and 10 percent other foods. i was trying to prevent her from eating fruit because we all tested positive for lyme disease and we were told no fruit. it’s sugar and will feed the bacteria. there was also concern coming from grandparents over her fruit intake. we tried to prevent her from eating too much. it didn’t feel right but we were worried about diabetes, weight gain, and behavioral issues from “too much sugar.”

We have to let go of the notion to be perfect or that perfection even exists. There is only the journey, and its perfection is in all its imperfections. As we walk each other home, to our true home, the Divine mother. Throughout life, we perceive so many things that touch our heart deeply. We laugh, cry, make love, forgive, create and we are infinite beings with endless potential to manifest exactly what we desire. Whatever we desire is what we deserve. As we design our lives to our desires and needs, we can flourish and bathe in the peace and gratitude that already lies within us. We can see beyond our horizons, experience the beauty in us all. Yet, most of the time, we keep ourselves away from this truth, too scared to walk beyond the path often walked. As we learn to create our own paths, our own journey, only then can we appreciate all that life gives us. Because we are not meant to walk anyone else’s path than our own. It is unique and crafted to your soul’s purpose, to your DNA and family heritage to carry out the mission that you were meant to do. To serve and honor all that is and all that is yet to come. Somehow along being born and growing into a full human into this world, we forget that free feeling. We start to believe that there is only few paths to walk and that we could somehow fit into a mold already created by someone else. No mold can ever fit the capacity we have as humans to grow and evolve. Even the most perfect of molds cannot contain the expansion we are capable of if we allow ourselves to blossom. So let’s stop putting ourselves in these molds and paths not meant for us. We are already magnificent, already loved and already complete and capable of walking our own path, writing our own story and creating the mold that is exactly to our deepest desires. 🙏

🥕🍏🍋😱 one of my favorite quick winter salads: red cabbage, carrots, apples, lemon juice, salt (used my orange zest sea salt, love to get fancy with salts 💕), olive oil and pecans. It’s very important to massage the salad to combine all the flavors to get that taste explosion in the mouth. Also salad massages are a kind of meditation 😊😆

Mono meal of sapodilla (a.k.a. chico sapote) for lunch the other day. I've been noticing three different types around here and these - caramel colour and somewhat pointed shape - are my fave. Then there are also two types of round ones: one is caramel-coloured and the other one a lighter shade of brown (potato lookalike). They can be so amazing, but you gotta catch them at the sweet spot when they achieve just the right degree of ripeness, softened but not fermenting (which can happen quite quickly). They taste like dates/brown sugar, but nicely juicy, with a hint of cinnamon 😊

made a much-needed lentil soup for dinner 😌 lentils are rich in fiber and are a good source of plant protein. 💪🏼 heated onions and garlic, added carrots and celery, seasoned with parsley and more, then added lentils and water. after a bit of cooking the veggies became tender and the soup became more flavorful. saved the rest in the ref for tomorrow. sided this with a tortilla and hummus 😋 yumm
