All joking aside, I've found that through doing bar workouts and calisthenics (body weighted exercises), I've been performing better in the gym. Not only are bar workouts fun, but they also introduce a whole set of new challenges to your body and mind.
As you challenge your body in different ways, your mind becomes stronger too in the process. You start to break barriers in self-doubt of what your body is capable of achieving.
