Marathon training starts on Monday 🙌🏼😃💪🏼
I hope I’m this excited 2-3 months from now when it’s -20*C and it’s time to do a 30km long slow run 😳🙈
I want to incorporate heart rate based training, but without precisely knowing my max HR, I’ll just be tracking HR loosely. I’ll be guided by paces. I’ll incorporate one run/week of each of these types:
LSD = Long Slow Distance
Tempo = “comfortably hard”, 5-10sec faster per km (or mile) than marathon pace.
Speed will be used primarily for Yasso 800s, but I’ll also be doing hill workouts and fartleks for speed.
