Since when did respecting all lives - cats, dogs, pigs, goats, hamsters, cows, mice, humans and ALL other species became extreme? When did unconsciousness and ignorance became usual. When did making decisions based on what the majority of people is doing instead of what is right the norm. While visiting and paying respect to the family of somebody who recently lost their cat, who is also very close to my heart. I have learnt not to fit in. Not doubting myself. Not letting others decide what I should be like just because the opinion of others differs from one.
The trip of visiting took longer than it could have only because I was unsure about what a person would say because I was paying respect and sending my thoughts of the loss of a sweet, loving cat to the family. Which was unnecessary. Equality for all means respecting all lives, and all species. Thankful for the support I had from my cousin when I was uncertain about my choices and grateful to have family like you, @elinagives @decembercreep @yuannl_l . .

Bonsoir Insta Fam! Happy Wednesday evening! Tonight, I opted for something vibrant, colourful & quite easy to make. Ever heard of “Protein Power Bowls”🤔?? I made a vegan 🌱 version tonight and it took me about 15 mins from start to finish because I precooked my Farro, beans, chickpeas & steamed some carrots before leaving the house this morning (⏰🙌🏽😍)
So, ingredients used included:
- 2 cups of Farro,
-1 Big red onion, 2 garlic cloves minced,
-1/3 cup of sundried tomatoes,
-1/4 cup of Kale,
-1 cup of red kidney beans, 1 cup of white kidney beans, 2 cups of chickpeas ( Did I mention “Protein Power Bowl anywhere?🤔😉😊💪🏾)
-1/4 cup of capers,
- 1/3 cup of mushrooms,
- 1 tsp of dill,
-4 tbsp of Olive oil,
-4 tbsp of balsamic vinegar,
-1 tsp of buckwheat honey,
-Salt & pepper to taste,
- some nutritional yeast (optional)
As for the directions, I only had to lightly sauté my onions, garlic, mushrooms, carrots & beans for a few minutes...👉🏽added some balsamic vinegar,honey, Farro,dill, Kale, salt & pepper👉🏽Topped my Farro bowl with capers, sundried tomatoes & nutritional yeast ( I like that “cheesy effect😍😉) Et Voilà! Le dîner est servi!!💁🏾🍲👩🏾🍳...Rapide (Fast) & Délicieux!!😋😋

Bonsoir Insta Fam! 👋🏽Hope you’re having an awesome Tuesday evening! Mine isn’t too bad..It’s been extremely windy 💨 today🍂🍁🍂 & it rained 🌧.Thankfully, I was already home before it got “crazier”🙌🏽.
Tonight, I decided to make something pretty simple & warm. Since Fall is synonymous to pumpkin 🎃 to me ( Let’s just admit that I needed another reason to make pumpkin anything 😉😁), I opted for a “Pumpkin-Turmeric-Coconut Soup.👌🏽😋
Did I follow a recipe per say? Hardly! I just went with the flow & sort of improvised.
I started off by heating some olive oil in a pot, added about a medium onion until it became translucent, then added 1/2 of a pumpkin,a handful of steamed cauliflower, some salt, pepper, 1/4 tsp nutmeg & 1/2 tsp of garlic powder & 1.5 cup of coconut milk 🥛 ( It slightly altered the soup colour but at least, it still tasted like pumpkin 🎃😉). I brought it to a simmer, then transferred it to my Vitamix until the preferred consistency was attained & garnished it with a parsley leaf 🌱Voilà!👩🏾🍳😍😋👌🏽✨Yummy! Wholesome, Thick, Creamy, Time saving⏰
