"I am not reckless with my men, and I do not take their deaths lightly, unlike Lord Vader"
- Grand Admiral Thrawn
Darth Vader, the once famed Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, was a Dark Lord of the Sith who ruled the evil Empire with his Sith Master, Darth Sidious. Vader killed Anakin Skywalker at the end of the Clone Wars, betraying his friends and family. After an almost fatal duel with his old Master, Obiwan Kenobi, Vader lost most of his limbs and suffered wounds that would have killed an average being. He was forced to wear uncomfortable armour for the rest of his life.
Vader's system of body armour included a life support machine, this was all that kept the aging man alive. His armour was extremely heavy and was forged from some of the most powerful metals in the galaxy, Durasteel and cortosis. Though a great figure in the Empire, he was looked down upon and disliked by many officers and other high ranking Imperials. This was because he merely appeared out of nowhere and achieved the second most powerful rank in the entire Empire while they had to work for it.

another lousy sketch of thrawn. frankly I did not like his appearance on rebels and when I read heir to the empire last year David Bowie's voice echoed in my head while reading Thrawn's lines so I have based my Thrawn on the 1975 and 1993 version of David Bowie. I know there are many things to improve but little steps lead to greater things #grandadmiralthrawn#thrawn#starwars#starwarsfanart#drawing#sketch#lousy
Rebel Fleet at Endor
Thrawns fleet at Attalon
I thought long and hard and these are the two canon Fleets which can actual rival each other in terms of Fire power. These Fleets were involved in two of the most important battles of the war, being the Battle of Attalon(the first full battle of the war) and the Battle of Endor(the final battle of the war). These Fleets were also commanded by the two best Admirals of each side, Thrawn and Ackbar.

Even though the Rebels clearly have the number advantage, I'd say the Empire still matches their fire power. The thing about rebel ships is most of their turbo lasers are single barreled, 2 barrels at most. Whereas Star Destroyers can be up to 4, some times even 8, barrels. But the Empire does lack one major thing and that is fighter support. The rebel Fleet has over 100 more fighters than the Empire. Most of these fighters are superior to the TIE fighter, like the X wing and A wing and of course the Millennium Falcon. Plus bombers like Y wings and B wings. On top of that the Empire has very few anti fighter weaponry. If this battle was just between the ships then this might be a little closer but because of the fighters the Rebels win this match
