I love details & textures in nature - it's my greatest creative inspiration. It can be the beauty of the landscape as a whole or it can be the minute details... nature doesn't miss a moment to inspire wonder in me. This is from our trip to the Great Sand Dunes over Labor Day weekend. These grains of not quite sand // not quite rocks caught my attention.. each grain was so colorful. It makes me think of that song, dust in the wind. And at the same time it makes me think about how even though there are billions of people in the world, we're all unique snowflakes. Or grains of sand. You get what I mean. ✨✨✨
Checked another national park off this weekend. I always go in with no expectations and eyes wide open... and each park impresses me. Great Sand Dunes was no exception. It's a little small, but it has the highest dunes in the nation. It's quick to visit, but that means it's super accessible to anyone nearby. What good does cynicism and skepticism do us when standing in Mother Nature's presence? I'd rather be filled with wonder.
Went on a mini vacation to Great Sand Dunes National Park with my husband. We got rained on Sunday night but had beautiful views Monday morning. What an amazing place... I've never been anywhere quite like it. Magnificent!!! #greatsanddunesnationalpark#ivegotsandeverywhere
