One year since my certification in #BodyAttack and I got to teach my assessment track in CHINA (admittedly, the only Chinese I said was Yī'èr/One, two) with Lola and @christopherpyne by my side. What a fun experience - I was nearly blown over by the volume of the ‘hey!’s at the end. So much international love for this programme. 🇬🇧 🇨🇳 ❣
Ok l’m putting Sia on hold until next week so we can have a little bit more time with our TayTay barre track because I’m FEELING it today (if you weren’t at Thursday’s class you’re in for a scorcher tomorrow!) So l’m going to put this bad boy on tomorrow’s playlist instead because l’ve been waiting for what seems like FOREVER for it to be released! Y’all ready?? I have a ground-breaking confession to make: For the first time in my adult life, I've decided not to actively restrict my diet in an effort to lose weight. 💯 Ladies, how many of us have spent our entire adult lives fighting with the scale, comparing ourselves to the images of other women we see in the media (& on Facebook/Instagram/etc.), and trying to exercise and/or starve our bodies into a shape they were never meant to be. 😔😢 I've been making jokes lately about #bulkingseason , but in all seriousness human beings have survived on this planet for centuries by putting on a few pounds in the winter ❄️! Why do we fight this natural cycle so hard? 🤔
Now there are lots of reasons participating in bulking season might not be the right thing for your body, mind, or spirit this winter, and this mindset can easily go too far in our culture of excess. Fitness and health are HIGHLY individual to each of us. If you have been participating in "bulking season" for awhile, maybe this is not your jam. And just FYI, I don't plan to bulk happily ever after ... springtime is #cuttingtime !!! But after being stuck in a perpetual cycle of restrictive dieting and rebelling against said diet for about two decades, I'm ready to embrace a softer, more natural approach to my health and fitness ... and the softer, rounder, more natural lumps & bumps that go with it! 😊❤️🍑🤗 I'm posting these progress pics that show a much less defined physique than I had 6 months ago. I'm up at least 10 lbs and not even trying to pretend that's all muscle 💪🏻 🤣💯.
