This was the setup for the banded t bar rows today. Two green bands and two 45’s. Using the seated row handle for grip. This may be my new favorite exercise. Just be sure to put the bands behind the plates, otherwise the back of the bar will come up on you (learned the hard way lol) .

Dried fruit has got a bad rep these days  obviously eating butt loads of it isn’t the best.
“everything in moderation❗️” but the BOTTOM LINE is obviously eating food in its raw form is the best way to get the full nutritional benefits of your foodie but dried fruit is certainly healthier than eating junk food. Craving candy and chips dried fruit is a great alternative..🍌🍊🍓🍎

I did these exercises at the end of my leg workout, mostly to test them out (the green one is medium resistance). My glutes were ON FIRE 🌡🔥

I'd recommend buying these if you're looking for a good way to activate your glutes during warming up or as a burnout set. For so cheap, it's worth seeing if you like them.

Next time I'll experiment with some upper body movements using the same bands. Bang for your buck right 😀

Today I went to a gym on the other side of town since I had an appt in that area.  I found that all the big weights (heaviest 125) were really dusty, guess do to not being used.  I’ll use them.  I think 💭 I had quite an audience watching me I’m guessing cause these weights don’t move much!

📈When it comes to fitness progress (whether gaining muscle or losing fat) it's not always linear (in fact it's almost never linear).

🤷🏼‍♀️I hear a lot, "I've lost 10lbs in my first couple weeks but then it slowed down."

📉You've got to keep in mind if you continued at that rate in a year you'd be down over 250lbs. It just doesn't work like that.

Yes whole food is the best way to get that protein but sometimes it is too hard to get the required amount in a day. Protein powder is an easy way to get those extra grams we need. Whether you are training to lose weight or gain weight protein powder helps in every way. • mass protein has extra calories for those of us training to gain weight but have trouble getting enough calories in the day. • Why do some proteins have 50-60 grams of protein when my body can only absorb 30-35 grams at a time? Powders normally have a mix of different types of protein. Fast release, so your body takes it in quickly, and slow release, so your body can absorb it over the next 6-8 hours! • how much should I take a day? A good rule of thumb is to try to take in 1 gram for every pound of body weight. A 200 pound man should try to get at least 200 grams of protein a day. -

Today’s back workout. Really focused on positioning with the deadlifts, worked up to a set of 4 with 345. It actually felt pretty light once I got it going. Off the floor is definitely where I need to improve. I’ll be working on it some now but will be really hitting it hard after the Iron Eagle in Savannah. .
