For throwback Thursday, I wanted to give a shout out to my amazing mother who is always impressing me with her ability to go above and beyond. So flashing back to 2 years ago; my mom loves hiking but she never wants to feel like she is holding anyone back or slowing down the family. Being able to keep up has been a top goal of her's. In 2015 she definitely got out and hiked and impressed us all, and her self I think, by completing a half marathon she let her daughter talk her into! Determination, training and a little push from her family, took her to a place where I don't think she ever thought she would go. We were all very proud of her!
Now jumping ahead to 2017. My mom let another one of her daughters, me, convince her to do home workouts and follow a portion controlled meal plan. I'll admit she wasn't too excited about it at first but my mom is very supportive of her daughters so she decided to give it a go! I started with making all of her food and we worked out together. But now, well my mom has gone above and beyond again, she not only drinks her nutrition shake every morning after her workout, she is also meal prepping on her own and enjoying it all! It makes me smile just writing it and thinking about how far she's come on her journey! She is down just shy of 20lbs and more than 12 total inches in about 6 months. Although weight loss is amazing, what makes me even more proud of my mom is the way she pushes to do things she never could before. This August she participated in her first Spartan race. She went from a goal of keeping up while on hikes to running a 4 mile obstacle course! She admitted, not to me but to the rest of the family, if it wasn't for the workouts, the meal plan, and her nutrient dense shake, she would have been on the side lines with some of the other people suffering from fatigue and cramping.
To wrap up, I just want to say, mom you're amazing, keep pushing for your goals, you inspire your family everyday and I'm so happy to be a part of your journey! Love you 😘.

Strengthening the intrinsic foot muscles.
•Our feet are rich with receptors that provide feedback on how our body is positioned or moving.
•Most people spend all day in cushy shoes or heels. This can dull our ability to sense and make corrections.
•Poor intrinsic foot muscles can affect posture, gait and even your squat!
•Weakness in the feet are a big cause of bunions and arch collapse, which often results in unneeded orthotics.

Today I was running around all day and didn't get my workout in until late! I realized how much I LOVE starting my day off with workout rather than waiting until the end of the day! .
Now let's see if I can get my ass out of bed tomorrow! Lol!! .

Since Aku ni bukan la pro runner tapi setiap kali before run Aku akan amik something yang tak terlalu mengenyangkan & tak terlalu manis. Sekadar isi perut untuk tenaga. So selalu gi beli scone kat kedai roti Lavender. Scone ialah sejenis biscuit macam kek & kurang manis. Tapi lepas ni tak payah gi Lavender lagi..sebab @ilnazs_moraz buat sangat memuaskan hati pengemar scone macam saya. Lembut & kurang manis. WHAT TO FOCUS ON WHILE DOING RUNNING DRILLS?
In order for your body to take the most out of the drills, focus on doing them when you’re feeling fresh. Complete the movements at a fast frequency and aim to do them as correctly as possible. Stop the drill if you feel like you’re too tired to keep a good form.
Once the drills are starting to go as planned, it’s time to challenge yourself more and add new drills to the program. Continue challenging your body and creating new stimulus. You can also do the drills in a slight uphill, which means you’ll really have to focus on the running form and on keeping a slight lean forward.
RUNNING DRILLS 1 AND 2: HIGH-KNEE WALKS AND RUNS
Many runners have difficulties in lifting their knees efficiently. High-knee walks and runs prepare you for the knee lift in running. These are basic movements, and you’ll also have time to think about the cooperation of arms and legs during the drill.
Do the drill 10 to 20 meters a time, as efficiently as possible. Focus on planting the step underneath your center of mass and make sure that you’re moving forward slowly, but with high frequency and short ground contact! Remember to keep your arms controlled and on the go.

Yang terdekat, insha Allah akan ada event #BCABaliRun di #NusaDua Bali, 1 Oktober mendatang. Ajang kali ini beda dengan #lombalari lainnya lho. #BCABaliRun2017 menawarkan sensasi berlari di jalan tol di atas laut. W.O.W!!! 😲 Siapa yang gak ingin melewatkan experience tersebut? 😚 Pasti gak mudah, karena harus menghadapi "godaan" angin laut. Tapi di situlah tantangan menariknya 💪

In August 4 years ago I ran my first real event. I started running for the first time that year and I foolishly under trained and still feeding my youngest lined up for the Brisbane Half marathon. I also joined a small group of women called RMA. My world has changed since that day. @nicbunyonrma changed the course of my life forever and I will be always grateful. She made me believe that anything was possible and she gave me friendships across Australia that run deep and lift me to be who I am. So here I am creeping up to 30 half marathons later and lining up for my 8th marathon in Berlin and my 3rd world major. The next 12 months will bring my 4th world major and 3 amazing ultras. RMA has now over 30,000 mums running the world. I had a goal to run 3 days in a row this week AND I DID IT!
Nobody but me would know if I did this run or not, it's all about getting stronger even when nobody is watching!
Week 2, Day 4 of #HalfMarathon Training calls for a 5K and this girl 🙋🏽crushed it 💥
This week I've challenged myself to a 5K everyday for 5 days and today was my fastest time all week 🙌🏽 if I'm being honest, it was probably because I was running by myself late at night and I wanted to get it over with as quick as possible without getting kidnapped (I don't recommend this strategy 😂) but hey it worked 💁🏽
Can't wait to finish off strong tomorrow and complete my challenge 👊🏽
