I love following all the accounts here that are ethical and strive to provide the best for their hammies and other pets/furbabies 😊 Something has been bothering me for a few days now. I wasn't sure whether to talk about it or not since I'm afraid of possible backlash but I'm choosing to talk about it regardless. Recently I've seen an account where they cannot afford to buy a larger housing for their hammy and house their hammy in below standard housing. What bothers me is the fact that if you cannot afford proper housing is it really fair to keep the animal? no matter how much love you give them? or the fact that those who suggest proper housing are called 'haters' 😕 I think that above all the animals needs are more important anything and the truth is if you can't afford it don't get it.
Btw sorry had to get this out of my system 😳
I love this picture of him. Comet is really showing his age these days. Before when he was on the bed he would run around like a crazy ham but now his so chilled he even went for a lie down on Apollo's favourite blanket 😍🐭⭐️💜 #comettheham
Who's this?! A new hamster?! I'd like to formally introduce #DevilsFoodCake , or #Evie , from @hathorhamstery, aka Mimosa! Evie is a short hair melanistic yellow who appears to carry recessive dappled. She will be joining the ranks of SBH once she's old enough.
Isn't she sweet? Look at her little face! She's also the floppy baby I posted a week or so ago.
I am so excited to have a sister hamstery to work with and collaborate with. Being able to mutually benefit from our hard work is super gratifying.
I can't wait to set up your condo Evie!
