I have always struggled with loving myself and talking to and about myself in a kind way. Lately I feel like I am finally growing in this area and can post these words honestly. 💙 Years ago my sister told me to talk to and about myself like I would talk to or about my best friend. Such great advice, but for some reason, so hard to practice. I am praising God for changing my heart and giving me strength to start growing and finally take steps to truly loving myself for the way He made me. 💙

After my little man had his surgery on Thursday I was anticipating a long night if fussiness. But an amazing thing happened. He woke up a lot but was SO happy. Every time I went to feed him he just smiling away at me. It was like God was reminding me that my baby was just fine. So thank you for your prayers because God heard them and they made a difference!
I was telling my #calligrafriends @kellyleungdesigns and @stellating that we had dim sum last Sunday and was inspired to do this sketch of some of what we had. We are so lucky to have a great dim sum restaurant in Austin, New Fortune Seafood. There’s a large Asian market in the same complex, so we go shopping for fresh fish and veggies every time we have dim sum (which isn’t as often as I’d like)😂
I’m a big fan of tofu skin rolls, siu mai, stir-fried snow pea leaves and fried sesame balls made from glutinous rice with red bean paste filling😋This is my comfort food🤗I don’t know if I wrote the Chinese characters right for dim sum which is Cantonese for “little heart”. In Mandarin, it’s dianxi🥟🥟🥟
